Lily put her phone down and cursed Lucas out, then decided to ignore him.
“Mommy, are you sure you’re going to refuse his order?” Brody asked with a serious face.
“What order? I won’t submit to his rude and unreasonable demands,” Lily said with determination..
“From what I know, there’s no way he’ll let you off the hook that easily,” Brody commented wisely. Although he hadn’t spent much time with his daddy, he knew his personality well. There was no going against him. It seemed like mommy was going to suffer.
Lily didn’t care though. She sat on the sofa, watching TV.
Half an hour later, her phone rang again. Brody glanced at the caller ID before sitting back down like an interesting show was about to come on.
