Chapter 5Dinner was the same as always, Diana chattering away about her lessons that day, Doc commenting here and there about the poor quality of modern education compared to when he was a youth, Miss Forster’s occasional reminder to her charge to focus on eating rather than talking. Diana asked once at the beginning of the meal where Mr. Gabourel was, but Cap’s explanation that he was still resting from their journey appeased her into letting the matter drop while they ate.
