Ivy: I woke up to soft flakes of snow falling on my face. The first thing my mind homed in on was the fog leaving my lips. "Damon?" I sat upright, surprised that my body didn't ache after the magic I used to move the troops back to Clearwater. "He isn't here, Ivy. Demons can't exist in this place." I looked behind me to see Mother Moon. "He isn't bad." My blood boiled. How dare anyone judge him? Her laughter from behind me made me turn to see she had changed positions, and now she stood in front of me, smiling down at me. "I didn't say he was, daughter. I said he could not exist in this place. That is not my choice. That is design. Do you think I would give my daughter a second chance with someone who didn't deserve it?" the wind picked up, blowing snow across the frosted grass beneat
