LETTING GO

1808 Words

“You know what I realised, Reed?” Ace asked in the Alpha King’s head, a hint of amusement in his deep animalistic voice. Reed didn’t say a word, but he knew his Lyken half was going to continue either way. “I don’t have to lift a paw after all.” “What are you talking about?” “Well, I realised that I do not have to get rid of the human after all. You’re going to do that on your own with your own actions while I sit back and observe.” The beast finished in satisfaction, something that sounded close to a chuckle mixed with a snarl slipping past its freaky snout. Reed scowled in annoyance, willing himself not to be affected by Ace’s rather vicious ribbing. To be honest, it was getting more and more difficult, and only because it was true. Everything Ace was saying was the absolute truth.
