Chapter Eight....Protecting His Luna

*Sarah POV*

Sarah felt a memory hit her like a ton of bricks. She latched on to Jake and gasped. "Jake my Mo-..Aunt used to make me take both pills and injections when I was little. She would tell me that I had a sickness that I needed to be rid of. Ahhhhh.. my head hurts. It feels like something is clawing at my brain. Make it stop Jake.....Please." Sarah whimpered. "I have a thought but it is your choice. My doctor could give you a sedative for the night just to calm your head down. We could spend time with the pack tomorrow. How does that sound?" Jake had mentioned carefully. She thought about it and nodded her head softly. She saw his eyes glaze over meaning he was mind linking the doc. His eyes went back to hazel. "He is on his way baby." Sarah nodded softly. "I just want you to rest sweetheart, I promise to take care of the rest." She loved that Jake was so caring. He picked up her and brought her to their bed. He pulled the covers back and placed her underneath, then covered her up again. She snuggled to the pillow since it smelled of him. There was a knock on the door. "Alpha..may I come in?" a voice beyond said. "Yes, doc, please come in." Jake said calmly. The doc walked in bowed his head to his Alpha and turned to Sarah. "So who is this beautiful young woman?" The doc said nicely. Jake growled possessivly. "She is my mate and our future Luna." The doctor's eyes bulged out of his head. "Alpha!! That's excellent news. Forgive me Luna. I am told that you would like a sedative to sleep for awhile." Sarah nodded tirelessly. "Yes doc, my head is killing me and I just want to rest." The doc nodded his head understandably. He grabbed a needle from his pack and filled it with the sedative. "This should last for awhile. I hope it helps." He smiled. He placed the needle by her arm after wiping the spot with an alcohol wipe. He injected the sedative and pulled the needle out. Sarah smiled and said thank you and the doc left. Sarah instantly felt her eyes getting droopy. Jake lent over and kissed her forehead. "Sleep baby, just relax." So Sarah closed her eyes and fell in to blissful darkness.

*Aunt Cassandra POV*

I had just got off the phone with Alpha John. He was still pissed that Sarah had escaped. He had called almost every other day for about a year. Since that ungrateful b***h decided to escape. What I think is f*****g hilarious is how he thinks she would come back here. Both my husband and I were so relieved to have her out of our lives once and for all. All she was, was a reminder of my sister Flora. My sister was always the favorite to everyone. I was always second best. I had relished the day that I finally brought my husband home, my mate. I figured my parents would finally put me first since my sister had not found a mate yet. Maybe today just once they could put me first, but no unfortunately that did not happen.

My sister found her mate and brought him home to Mama and Papa and can you believe it, he was f*****g Lycan Royalty. I was so livid. They fawned all over her and her mate and just basically forgot my mate and I were there. I swore that day I would get revenge on everyone. I would take away everything that was important to them and make them pay. My husband was a powerful werewolf and I was just human. I learned the hard way to submit to my husband. He believed in the old ways. I never disappointed him though. After he broke me, I was his completely. I still am. I still remember the day I finally got my revenge. It had been 4yrs later. I had killed my family, with the help of my husband's pack. Flora at the time had escaped with her husband. She was pregnant and I was jealous. My husband had ruined me at having children. Said that he didn't want children. When I found out she had escaped I was so mad, that I burned my whole former pack down and was able to kill everyone. Nothing was left. I waited and searched for 4 years until I found Flora and her husband. He had given up his title and responsibility as a Royal, because he wanted to be a father and spend time with Flora and their future children. I wasn't about to let that happen. Hell No.

Once I found them I killed them and took Sarah. The look on my sister's face was priceless. I wanted to laugh. Instead I spit in their faces. While they begged and pleaded I told them I was taking Sarah. I made them drink poison mixed with wolfsbane. Then I killed them. My husband's men grabbed Sarah and I forced a vile of some potion a witch gave me in a needle and injected it in her neck. She went limp instantly. I needed to take her back to the witch so she could do mind sweep and completely erase Sarah's mind. I wanted to have her as mine and I wanted to train her myself. I made sure as she grew to constantly inject or give her a pill that would stop her Lycan from surfacing. I could not have her destroy everything I was going to make for myself. My husband is powerful and very wealthy. Most Alphas look up to him. That is why when Alpha John caught eye of Sarah, we were so excited to get rid of her. We could have more power and money.

Only lasted for 5 years though. I still can't believe she escaped. I just hope that her Lycan never breaks through, because if she does. We are all dead.

*Jake POV*

I closed the door to our bedroom and walked to my office. My Beta Corey was there with my Delta Claude. I went to sit at my desk. "How is your mate? Is she ok?" Corey asked. I nod my head. "Yeah, she is just stressing over stuff. She is napping again. She is really exhausted. I am thinking about announcing her presence tomorrow. I still have a lot to talk to her about. She doesn't understand all this stuff yet. She is new to this world." I tell them guarded. I can't let out her secret if that is true. Not until she is ready to announce it. "Should we continue where we left off on before you ran upstairs?" mentioned Claude.

I wipe my hands over my face and just sigh. "Yeah, let's get this over with. I want to be close to my mate. Lennox is pacing and getting agitated. So have all the Alphas accepted and decided to come. We really needed to get another treaty set up. I really want to keep peace with everyone. I want my pack to be in no danger. I don't need another war to break out. With me finding my mate, we need to be more careful. Now most rogues and other packs will want to try and weaken our pack. We need to double on patrol and make sure that the shifts are without problems. We must keep our eyes open. I may of not mentioned I found my mate, but that doesn't mean the business isn't already out there." I said annoyed. If anyone knew Sarah was here. Then her lunatic husband would come. She was never marked. So he can't really claim her. Marriage by human standards was not anything important in the werewolves world. Once you were marked and mated to your mate that basically was saying you were married. The only time we actually married like the humans is if our mate was human and that was something they wanted. We discussed more about the council meeting and pack stuff before I decided I was done. I couldn't take Lennox bitching any longer. My head hurt and I just wanted to be with my mate. Both my Beta and Delta nodded their heads and left as well. They had their mates as well. I didn't want to keep them any longer than needed. I left my office and headed for the stairs. I walked tirelessly to my room. Feet dragging on the floor. I was so wiped out. I quietly opened our bedroom and saw Sarah laying on the bed fast asleep. I felt a big grin on my face. I still couldn't believe she was back in my life and was my f**king mate. I am one lucky son of a b***h. I went to the bathroom and took a quick shower and brushed my teeth. I grabbed a towel from one of the towel warmers and wrapped it around my waist. I walked out and went straight to my walk-in closet. I grabbed some boxers and a pair of shorts. I quickly got dressed and got in to bed with Sarah. I carefully grabbed her and spooned with her. I left no space between us. I snuggled up close and wrapped my arms around her. I felt her let out a sigh and unconsciously snuggle more closer with me. I just chuckled softly and gave her a peck on the forehead and closed my eyes and let the darkness take me away.
