Chapter 8

As soon as Summer and Cord walk into the room they are met by his mother."Let me hold my granddaughter," She is reaching for Aiko. She is still in her father's arms

"You all are spoiling her. Carrying her all the time." Summer laughs looking at her daughter

"She's our first grandchild. We have to spoil her some. We want more" Adam is looking at Cord and Summer

"We'll see what we can do about that father." Cord is looking at Summer smiling

Lola glances over at Summer "What do you two have planned today?" She is kissing Aiko

"Well, mother I came to pick up some of my clothes. I'm moving in with Summer. I'll come here every day to do pack business and training." Cord is looking at his mother and father.

Summer decides that she will talk with his mom. He kisses her forehead then he runs upstairs to his room to pack

"Well, well well, look who's here?" Jillian walks into the room

"Your fairy godmother." Summer looks at Jillian up and down.

Jillian folds her hands. She smirks "Cordell is mine bitch."

Summer is still looking at her. "Whatever lie you need, that lets you sleep at night. But as you can see. I'm the one wearing his mark. Not you."

Jillian steps toward Summer swiftly then she swings at Summer's head. Summer blocks it by grabbing her hand, twisting it behind her back. "See no evil, hear no evil, Aiko." Summer looks up at her daughter

"What is she talking about?" Lola is thinking as she looks at her granddaughter. Aiko closes her eyes and puts her hands over her ears.

Once Summer sees that Aiko has done as she was told. She flat punches Jillian in her face. Jillian stumbles back. Summer roundhouse kicks her in the stomach. Then she put her in a headlock before body-slamming her on the floor. Summer looks at her laughs as she walks over to her daughter.

She kisses her daughter, who then opens her eyes and takes her hands off her ears.

"Dada," Aiko is smiling looking at Cord walking into the room.

"Are you okay?" Cord asks as he scans Summer's body

She kisses Cord's cheek "Yea, nothing like a little workout."

Lola is looking at Jillian. "Next time I'm taking bets and popping popcorn. Someone come get this trash out of here." Lola laughs while pointing at the floor.

"What the hell happened here? I wasn't gone that long." Cord looks at his mother

She is still laughing. "Jillian just got her ass whoop quick."

Rita runs into the den looking around "What happened to my daughter? Who did this?"

"Hear no evil Aiko." Summer is looking at Rita.

Aiko puts her hands over her ears smiling, looking at her daddy. Cord is looking at her

Summer walks over to Rita. "I did it, tell your little b***h to stay the f**k away from my Mate. That was just a sample, next time I'll kill the b***h. If you have a problem with what I said, include yourself in that. "Carlos, you need to put your two mutts on tight leashes. Summer is still looking at Rita

Rita is looking at Summer. "b***h" she is thinking

"Aiko, do you want some ice cream?" Summer kisses her daughter's forehead and smiles at her.

"Yay, cream mommy," Aiko said claps her hands

"You told me not to use that kind of language in front of her. But you were cussing. He mind-links Summer

She winks at him, as she mind-links him back "That's why I always tell her that. Before I say anything or do anything. Which you need to learn."

"Yes I do" He mumbles looking at his mate and Daugther.

"Later that night"

Summer is upstairs in her bedroom relaxing When Nick mind-links her"Summer rogues are at the edge of the western border."

"Damn can't I relax for one night?" She is thinking "We're on our way" Summer mind-links him back then she mind-links Heath "Take my mother, Lily, and Aiko to the safe room. You stay with them." After she mind-links. "We have rogues on the western border. Meet me in the yard by our balcony."

He is downstairs watching an Atlanta Hawks basketball game with some guys.

She jumps off the balcony turning into her wolf Raven on the way down. Landing on all four legs running to the border.

When they reach the border the rogues are standing right across the borderline. Summer shifts to her human form with her clothes attached. She is waiting for Cord. He is behind a tree, putting on basketball shorts

As soon as Cord is beside her. They look at the rogues. "Who are you? Why are you here?" Summer is looking around at the rogues

a tall blonde man walks from behind a tree. "I want to speak to your Alpha."

"I will call him Blondie for now" She is thinking. "You are speaking to the Alpha. I'm Alpha Summer Castle I ask you a question"

He smirks "I want your land."

Cord is also looking at Blondie. " He is ready to die" Cord looks at her

"Yes, I agree." Then her attention goes back to Blondie. "That's not going to happen. If that's all, leave now." Summer waves her hand.

"So what do we have here Superman and Wonder Woman?" Blondie is looking at Summer and Cord smirking

"Nope, we see ourselves more as Aquaman and Mera." Summer looks over at Cord

"Yep." He mumbles

"I was being nice asking you to buy it. When I can take it from you." Blondie walks toward the front of the other rogues.

" Who are you?" Summer asks

"You can call me Hawk" Blondie holds his hands in the air

"Well, Man Called Hawk, I'm giving you one chance to leave now or die. I don't have time for games today." Summer points at the man as she mind-link her pack. " I want only one alive. Kill the rest, Man Called Hawk is mine."

Man Called Hawk is looking at her. He is waiting for Summer to shift, But she doesn't.

The rogues start running toward Summer, Cord, and the pack. She jumps into the air shifts and lands right in front of Man Called Hawk.

He has shifted into a black and white wolf. Raven is clawing and jumps at him, clawing his chest. Her claws stab him until she reaches his jugular vein. She rips his head off. Leaving the Man Called Hawk on the ground in a puddle of his blood.

The pack is ripping heads off left and right. Until there is only one rogue standing.

Cordell's wolf Tasmania has him pinned down. He doesn't kill the man. He has him pinned until Nick walks over to restrain him. Cord's wolf runs behind a tree to shift, putting his clothes on.

"Cordell POV"

Today was an interesting day. It started out great. I woke up admiring my beautiful Mate's features while she slept. She looks so peaceful like she doesn't have a care in the world. I got up to check on Aiko, when I opened the door I saw Lily was taking her downstairs. So I went back to bed with my Mate.

We had decided that I would move here and go to my pack every day. Officially my father is still Alpha King. I was in the bedroom closing the last suitcase with I felt Summer was mad. I ran to the kitchen she told Aiko to see no evil, hear no evil. I was thinking what the hell does that mean. Aiko closed her eyes and put her hands over her ears.

Then she punches Jillian in the face, roundhouse kicks her in the stomach, puts her in a headlock, body slammed her ass on the floor.

She walks over to our daughter kisses her head. Aiko opens her eyes, takes her hands off her ears and smiles said, Daddy.

That chokes me up every time she calls me Daddy.

Rita, Jillian's mother came in asking who hurt her daughter. I gave Aiko back to my mother.

Summer said hear no evil, Aiko put her hands back over her ears, smiling at me. That's clever what she has taught her. She doesn't want her to see or hear bad things. I have to make a mental note of that.

Summer was cussing, she sure did put Rita in her place. She even said she would kill them. When she told Carlos to put his mutts on a leash, my mother laughed louder.

We went home after picking up food and coffee from Popeye's and Starbucks. Summer and Aiko went upstairs to relax and freshen up before dinner.

I was watching a basketball game with some guys. When Summer mind-linked me about rogues at the border. I run in the yard by the balcony. Which I find strange that rogues were attacking. We haven't had a rogue attack in a while around here.

When I was waiting for Summer, I hear something so I looked up. She jumps straight down from the balcony feet first. Then she shifts in mid-air into a big pure white wolf. Raven seems a hell of a lot bigger now.

After everything was over I asked her how did she do that. She said that she and Raven practiced it until they could do it. That she and Raven connected when she was pregnant. In case something happens to Aiko. It saves time, so she doesn't have to run downstairs to shift. She's always thinking of ways to keep our daughter safe.

Summer is a great fighter, better than me I must admit. She fights so gracefully, she's a force to be reckoned with.

From what I saw out there tonight it seems as if all the rogues were trying to reach her. They weren't interested in anyone else. So I yelled to the pack to protect their Alpha. The pack surrounded Summer, she was fighting the Man Called Hawk. After she killed him the rogues were trying to run away. Hell no, we weren't having that, for them to come back another day.

The rogue that I captured Nick and I are going to make him talk. He'll talk even if I have to torture him, myself. Nobody will hurt my Luna
