The next morning, I woke up and got dressed. As usual, Chris wasn't around. I quite liked that though, Not having him lurking around. I guess the more he stayed away from me, the less chance he has of hurting me. As soon as the thought passed through my mind, I looked down at my leg.
It had started healing now, but it was a little painful. That's to be expected.
I just hung around the room, Pretty bored until I noticed the time. It was 11.50am. I better get downstairs.
I didn't know what was gonna happen today, but better to be early than late, right?
Running the down the stairs quickly, I was shocked at the sight before me. The whole room was filled with girls and boys. Rails of clothes lined the walls.
I stopped and just watched for a moment. Confused. I'd never seen so many people! I mean, I knew this house was big, but, there was just no way this many slave's lived here, and there was definitely no need for this many either!
Wondering down, I decided to take a seat and just wait for all this madness to calm down a little.
Then I saw her.
The young girl I had met when I was taken to see Master Poe. The girl that Christopher's Brother had taken for himself.
She didn't look very well, She was insanely pale, and skinny..Skinny than when she first arrived here, that's for sure!
I decided to go over to her and say hello. I hoped she was doing ok.
She had her back to me as I approached, but I didn't wanna startle her.
'Hello, I don't know if you remember me, but..I..' My sentence trailed off when I saw her face.. She was a shell..
No emotion... No expression.. nothing.
'Are you ok?' She remained silent. 'Um...Hello?' I put my hand on her shoulder, but almost instantly, She shrugged it off.
'Pet!'. I jumped when I heard the sudden voice, and within a blink of an eye, there he stood. Christopher's brother.
He was tall.. Like.. Insanely tall! It hurt my neck a little having to look up so high!
'Run along'. He waved me away and walked away, pulling the poor girl behind him.
'I guess dickheadedness runs in this family'. I said to myself as I walked back over and sat down again.
It had been about half an hour and the girls still hadn't calmed down. So much for needing to be here at 12. I figured if my presents were needed so badly, Geran would have come and found me by now.
I haven't even seen him this morning yet.
I figured if he needed my dress and show size' then there was something specific for each person...though how they managed to get it all sorted in one day is beyond me.
I was so wrapped up in my thoughts it took me a moment to realise, that everyone had fallen silent...I looked up..and realised why.
Christopher had suddenly appeared at the top of the stairs..
