“Let go, Adriel. Let go of things that only hurt you before you destroy yourself.”

-Nikkon

Mhayvin believed that love is all about ownership, and pleasing the man he loves. Doing everything that will make him happy, even if it slowly destroys herself. And she can’t easily get out of this relationship because she was told that she will never find another man who will have an interest in her.

But it is all wrong.

She realized that when she met another man who made her feel special. A man who treated her not just as a princess but as a queen. He served her well and prioritized nothing but only her happiness.

But she only felt like it was only a fairytale and she still had to go back to reality because, at the end of the day, she is still in a relationship with another man and is not strong enough to let go of things even if it hurts her.

Prologue
“I have something to tell you,” sabi ko sa kanya matapos makababa sa motor niya. “Good news and bad news. Which one do you prefer to hear first?” “Whatever happens, I cannot choose you.” After I said that, I saw pain lingering in his eyes, though he still tried his best to hide it by forcing himself to smile. Arg! This is the reason why I have been trying to avoid him before. “But—” Muli akong huminga ng malalim. “The good news is there is a high possibility that I will fall in love with you.” I smiled at him and immediately ran towards the gate of our house. I looked at his direction and I almost laughed at his direction. “Don’t think too much, mister.” “You are bad, Mhayvin.” Naiiling siya habang ginugulo ang kanyang buhok. “You are really bad.” “I am just telling you what I feel.” I gave him a sweet smile and waved my hand. “Goodnight, mister. See you tomorrow.”
