FOUR: "Bed."
CHANELLE continued walking behind Sage and following his direction leading her to her dorm’s room.
“Hi, Sage!” He was greeted by girls when they were walking at the hall inside the entire dormitory for girls.
Sage just grinned at those girls.
“A new girl in town, huh?” asked by one another.
“Kind of,” Sage simply answered and tilted his way.
Chanelle couldn’t help but be intimidated by the stares of women given to her. She’s a newbie in here that’s why this case and scenario is normal… but she really feels uncomfortable.
She doesn’t want to be watched out or be stared at by people she barely knows. Some are eyeing her from head to toe; some are mesmerized and amused by her beauty. She is aware she’s beautiful and most people from New York say she is, but it really makes her feel shy every time people would lay an eye on her for long periods of time.
“Hey, new chick!” one punky girl with ice blue eyes waved a hand for saying hello to Chanelle.
She smiled back with flattery. “Hey.”
“This way,” Sage tilted his head to point the particular room she will be staying on.
She simply nodded and followed him. He pushed the door open and he got in, she got inside too.
“Finally. Welcome to your new home. This is your room, and this is where you’ll be staying before and after your class hours,” Sage instructed as he leaned on one of the stools of the double deck bed.
“I’ll be staying here… alone?” Chanelle asked as she roamed her eyes around the entire room.
This isn’t a big room but enough space to indeed rest and study after hours of classes. There are two double deck beds, and each bed has two throw pillows on it. There are shelves with few books and two study tables at the sides.
She didn’t seem to get the point of his grin after she threw her question. And then he drew his face close to her as he was staring at her eyes so deeply.
Why? What was wrong with her question? She just asked what she wanted to know! There is no one on this room but her so she thinks she has no any roommate, that’s why she’s asking!
“Don’t you want to be alone? Want me to stay here with you?”
She silently gritted her teeth at his playfulness and his obvious over confidence!
He attempted to caress her cheek but she immediately flinched and roughly pushed his hand away from her. “Don’t touch me!”
He laughed with no humor. “You have two roommates. You don’t see them right at the moment because maybe they’re in the library.”
Chanelle just nodded with Sage’s statement and then she sat down at the edge of the bed. She kept on eyeing the whole room. Everything’s color gray and… plain, and boring…
She sighed long.
“What’s with the long sigh?”
“Are all the rooms in this dorm like this? Plain, and gray and…”
He licked his lip. “And what?”
“Boring. Just like the University I attend to at New York City. Boring.” She was just being frank, nonetheless offending the person she talks to or not.
But instead of having any violent reaction to defend his academy, Sage seems to be getting even more amused and interested by the way she speaks, especially the frankness in her opinion.
“Boring? Why? In what sense?” he asked as if teasing her more.
She shrugged her shoulders. “No any painting or mural on the walls. No decorations or designs. Simply plain and really boring.”
He grinned and then without a word, he stood right in front and close to her. He started resting his palms on her sides, cornering her and jailing her body on the bed by his mighty arms.
She looked at him straight in the eyes. “What are you doing?”
“What do you think I’m doing?” he asked her back.
“Obviously, cornering me on this bed, jailing my body with your mighty and hard rock-lock muscled arms. What else will you be doing?”
He drew his face closer to hers and she almost closed her eyes by just smelling the fragrance of menthol from his mouth. She was starting to get insane and lost and she couldn’t understand herself too.
He chuckled sexily and he drifted his lips on her the tip of her vulnerable and sensitive ear. “I’ve got a plan. I know something that will make this room less boring.”
She stared at him at the eyes and there was no denial of seduction from his face and the way he gazes at her. “You mean-“
“Yes. I mean s*x. Let’s explore and play with our bodies’ heat, to turn this room into a wild one than a boring one. What do you think?”
She hated his guts and his over confidence! It’s as if he thinks of her as an easy woman or a kind of girl he could easily bring and do to the bed with! Well, she would make this man see she’s not like that!
“How do you think a biological need will fulfill what the environment actually demands? Or to make it more clear, how can the s*x activity of man and woman be relative with the room’s plainness?”
He just grinned more at how smart she could fire back his nonsense questions about lust and even turn them into more sensible ones. “Why not let’s do the act, and then we’ll find out later? Huh?” He started to caress her cheek down to his neck.
She was seduced. Totally seduced, to be exact, that she wanted to close her eyes and let him do all the things that he can do to her. But no matter how lusted she feels, she decided to control herself to win over his point and his playboy arguments.
“You’re…”
“What? Hmmn?” he murmured as he was doing his kissing duties on her neck.
“Dangerous…”
And from that single word that came out of her mouth, he stopped. He stopped kissing her but he was still wearing that grin as he stared in her eyes.
“Now, you’re scared. Aren’t you?”
“Scared for what? Of you and what you’re doing or what else could you possibly do? No, I’m not-“
Chanelle was cut off with her words when the door suddenly opened. That made both of them looked at the guy who just came.
“Chill off, Sage. Stop scaring, intimidating, and especially seducing the new girl!” The familiar guy chuckled as he entered the room while watching both of them.
The man looks really familiar, and if she’s not mistaken, he’s the man at the field earlier! That man who looked at her from afar, and she also stared at from afar and even adored him with that masterful spike in playing volleyball with his friends and probably classmates.
Sage simply smirked. “And you’re here too to take a look at the new girl, huh? Aren’t you, Lawrence?”
