My Twins Mate (Book III)

Chapter - 7

Luna P.O.V

I woke up to sunshine in my face and yells around the camp. I hurried out of my tent still in my pajamas. I looked around and spotted three of the preppies screaming and pointing. I looked down and saw a dead rabbit at the foot of our tent. 

I went to pick it up but I heard screaming again. I looked back at the girls wondering what was wrong now so I asked.

"What it’s only a dead rabbit?"

They looked at me in horror. "You don’t know where that has been and you’re going to pick it up?"

"Yeah. Its food and I’m not all about wasting it so once I skin it I can eat. Rabbit is quite good when roasted."

I could see the shock and disgust in their eyes. "You are a freak." they ran off and I laughed to myself. I couldn’t believe they actually thought I was going to eat it.

I picked it up carefully and put it by a rose bush. I sat down and started to draw it; intrigued by the way it looked. 

I heard movement around me and I quickly looked around thinking that I caught a glimpse of Ash.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" I thought back to my attack in the woods and I started to get shivers up my back.

"Yeah, it’s me." I saw Kai step out from behind the tree. 

"Kai you startled me I thought was something else."

He smirked that drop-dead gorgeous smirk at me. "I seem to be getting that a lot this week"

I feel myself blush deeply and I quickly look down at my drawing. I saw the sketchpad catch his eye and I tried to hide it. Little to my luck he was fast and he quickly snatched it away from me.

"HEY. Give that back!" I started jumping up to gram it but he kept it easily out of my reach. Curse my shortness. 

"No way am I giving this back your drawings amazing. I think I will keep it."

"But that has my assignments in it. Do you want me to fail my art class?" he started to look a little guilty and he reluctantly gave it back.

"Fine but I want one picture out of it" I sighed and nodded my head in agreement not wanting all my sketches taken by him. What is one sketch it couldn’t hurt?

"Which one do you want?"

"I want the one with the wolf with a flower in its mouth" 

"How did you know I had a picture like that?"

He looked a bit guilty but he quickly covered it up. "I saw it when I took the sketchbook."

"Alright" I reluctantly believed him but I looked for the sketch and gave it to him. "Now will you stop stalking me?"

"Nope you are too interesting," I grunted when he walked off sketch in hand.

Knox P.O.V

 Oh, she was so cute when she was annoyed I am very lucky to have her as my mate. I fell my blood boil when she called me kai, my wolf and my Lycian want to shred him from limb to limb. I felt guilty for hiding things from her but I will tell her when the right time comes.

  But, at least I get my favorite sketch. I should go and keep an eye on Kai, I thought and sniff my surroundings to find him. I smell the smell of woods and mint and followed it to find him talking with his friends.

 “Dude you are looking little distracted nowadays, anything wrong?” one of his friends asks him.

 “It’s nothing, let’s go for a run, my wolf Arec wants to go for a run,” Kai said lost in his own thought and walk away from them.

 “He was behaving strangely now a day, don’t you think?” one of his friends ask for others.

 “Do you think he has found his mate that’s why he was behaving like this?” one of them asks.

 “Who knows? The way he was behaving from two or three days, it was possible,” the first one said to them and they nodded their head in agreement.

“Let’s go before he finds out we were not there with him,” one of them said and followed Kai’s footsteps. And followed them while keeping my distance from them.

Kai P.O.V

Todays before was my 16th birthday, when I found out that Luna was my mate. That day was the happiest day of my life. But the problem was she was a human and oblivious about the supernatural world. Also, I can't mark her until she becomes a full Lycian like me.

You see  I always want a mate when I saw my parents going all lovey-dovey at each other. I want to be a couple just like them. I have girls throw themselves at me but I don't give them any attention, the only girl who holds my all attention and world will always be my world and no one else because I know they only want me because of my looks, fame, and money. Only my mate can love me unconditionally like my parents love each other.

Only I know how much I want to hold her in my arms and kissed her senseless, but I can't because it will scare her. She would think that I am a player which I don't want her to think. So I will approach her slowly and court her until she falls in love with me when I am sure that she will not reject me or leave me I will show her my real self. I just hope she accepts me for who I am otherwise I will not able to take it.

My thought was interrupted by Marcus.

"Dude, you are looking a little distracted nowadays, anything wrong?" he asked worriedly.

“It’s nothing, let’s go for a run, my wolf Arec wants to go for a run,”  I said and walks deeper inside the forest to find the place to shift.
