Chapter -8

Luna P.O.V

I  hear the dinner bells calling for the campers to come and eat. I got up and brushed myself off thinking about how Kai is starting to actually talk to me. I grabbed my lunch when I got to the main camp and sat down in my usual spot. I saw someone sit down across from me and I looked up. I was surprised to see Kai.

"Well hi, there what brings you to this freaky table Kai?"

He just shrugged "I got bored of the cookie-cutter jocks and the sluts they call cheerleaders"

My eyes went wide. "That’s a little harsh, I mean aren’t you the football captain?"

"Yes but that doesn’t mean I act like them"

My eyes relaxed a bit. I looked over at the jock table and all of them were either glaring at me or giving looks of surprise.

"I don’t think they like the idea of their football captain sitting with the known freak."

"Then I guess they will have to get over it." he shrugged with ease.

"Well, ok then" I continued eating trying to ignore his occasional stares.

I finished my meal and whispered a quiet bye and scurried back to the woods to find a good thing to paint for my assignments.

I was still searching when it became dusk. I looked toward the sky and thought that I better get back to camp. I started to follow the trail back when I saw Ash walking in the forest facing away from me. I would know him anywhere. I started to walk toward him but he turns and I saw his eyes were different, my Ash eyes were dark gree while this one has Aqua blue eyes. 

"Maybe he was his sibling, Ash must have got lost in my forest," my thought was interrupted by the sound of breaking borns. 

When the sound died down I only saw a fully clothed Kai. I stared in surprise but I couldn’t move. I saw another wolf trot up to him and shifted. I started shivering uncontrollably but still barely managed to keep quiet. After the sound died down gain they revealed Kai’s best friend Trent.

I started to hear them speaking and I listened in.

"Kai, why were you sitting with that girl at dinner? Are we not enough for you?"

"No you guys are my pack and my friends. I am also your alpha but I have found my mate. I have been around her for a while and I can’t keep away any longer. That is where I have been going when I’m not around. I normally lay beside her in my wolf form when she is drawing or any other projects she has. I don’t think she suspects anything but I have to claim her soon my wolf is starting to gain control when I’m around her. The urges are becoming quite tempting."

"Whoa bro, calm down a little bit. I hope you have a plan to tell her she will find out eventually"

"Yeah I know that is what worries me."

"Well man I can’t help you in this kind of situation because I haven’t met my mate yet, but I hope you come to a conclusion soon or your wolf might take over and you might shift in front of her and claim her against her will."

"We better head back before people see that we are gone and start looking for us"

They start to head back but I start shivering and panicking. I headed back to camp looking like I’ve seen a ghost. If they saw me, they would know that I know about their secret and I will be doomed. I look back and saw them coming closer to me and I started walking faster.

He easily catches up to me and gives me a weird look. I look in his eyes and he slowly looks like he knows what I have seen.

"Are you ok Luna?" he asked coming closer to me and I passed out in front of him.

Kai P.O.V

I and Trent were going to our camp when we saw Luna walking towards her camp while shaking like she has seen the ghost. I wonder and hope that she didn't saw me shifting in my human form. She turns and her eyes widen in fear, then she started walking faster than before and that clear my doubts that she knows who am I and she also heard our conversation.

I tell Trent to go back to camp and I will handle this through mind link and follow her and catch up to her in no time.

"Are you okay Luna?" I ask worried while walking closer to her and she passed out on me. She was about to fall on the floor but I catch her in my arms. I hold her in my arms in bridal style and walk to my camp.

"What happened to her? " Trent ask me as I kept her in my bed carefully.

"She has seen us shift in our human form when I walk closer to her she passes out on me," I explain taking a seat beside her.

"Now, what are you going to do now?" Trent ask.

"I don't know, what do you suggest for me to do?" I ask him while running my hand in my hair in frustration.

"I said it's time you tell her everything," he suggests keeping his hand on my shoulder.

"What is she doesn't want to have anything with me or worse she reject me",  I said getting panic.

"I think I should erase her memory and lie to her, that we found her passed out in the forest and bring her here in our camp to make sure she was alright, then you can go according to your plan and woo her, what do you say?" Marcus suggested.

I agree and let Marcus do his work. You see We Lycians have powers mine are teleportation and telepathy while Marcus was mind manipulation, he can control other people's minds. Now, all we have to do is to wait to gain her consciousness.
