5. Any Regrets?...

Zoe p. o. v

"Any regrets baby?" Connor whispered as he held me in his arms on the bed after our shower. I signed in contentment.

"None whatsoever … Yeah I would have like to know you a little but I’m happy with my choice." I smiled up at him now for the nerve-racking part.

"Are you happy with this?" I ask holding my breath, but I was worried for nothing as a s**t eating grin spreads across his face.

"Baby, I'm so f*****g happy I feel like I could scream that your mine from the f*****g roof!" Now I feel I'm a woman and for the first time in 6 years, I'm happy and can see a future for myself … I can start to live free all because of this man.

A brick comes loose in the wall I have built around my heart, a piece crumbling in my defences against anyone getting close to me. Only Leah has made in behind my walls, but this man could, I can most definitely see me falling in love hard with him. If I'm completely honest he's well on his way to me being hopelessly in love with him already. We witches fall hard and fast when we find our life partner, we are like wolves that way.

"Come on baby, let’s go see where Josh and Leah have disappeared too. I Have to let the council know I have found my mate, just formality but If you’re ok with it I would like to tell the pack I have found my mate and link you to the pack … We can announce you as Luna in a few days or when you want?" he asks with a few hitches in his voice not being sure of my reaction. I only wanted to wait a few days to get to know him before mating but that's out the window now.

"I only wanted to know you a little before mating, but that point is moot! Ha-ha … So do all the formalities and announcements as soon as you want. You’re stuck with me now!" I giggle as his face takes on that look of relief and happiness at my last comment.

"Yeah? What the hell will I do with you?" He teases.

"I don't know, but I'm sure you will think of something." I tease back and escape the bed to get dressed quick all while he growls at losing his grip on me. I giggle as he gives chase, running in his boxers only as we run into the sitting room. Zena gives me a weird look. Tilting her head one way then the other before laying her head back down to ignore us. I run for the door in only my bra and pants as he grabs me round the waist.

"Where do you think you’re going? And half-dressed too!" He growls again while carrying me back to the bedroom.

"Oh s**t!" I click my fingers and clothe us both. He shakes his head and turns back around.

"Okay, Never-mind. I can see that little trick coming in handy." He smiles back as we walk out the bedroom and downstairs. I wonder if I should tell him. f**k it!

"Want to know a secret even Leah doesn't know? In fact, I don't think anyone knows this not unless you’re a centennial witch and even then, we all have differences in our power. This could be because I'm the 13th one though? Also, this is just something I know I can do… I don’t know how I know I just do! I never have for obvious reasons... I …" I ramble on till he stops me.

"Zoe? You didn't actually say what this secret is, so I don't know the obvious reasons" He tells me.

"Sorry, I can share some of my power with you! No-one else should know though, it could be a secret weapon between us." I tell him in the mind-link between us. So, no-one can hear this accidently.

"Cool, I won’t mind sharing that with you babe, But how? I mean, I'm a wolf not a witch?" He links back.

"Through our bond, you tapped into me when we marked each other, all it would require is a blood mix and a spell from me. If you are going to be fighting the three different groups after me, with me, then we will need everything, and this could be a backup. I can teach you different spells in a dream world so no-one will know but us. Also, now I have my life partner, I can safely tap into my dark magic. It’s not evil, it’s called dark magic because it requires blood as a price and can be seductive. Both dark and light can be used for good or bad. It all depends on the witch. I wouldn't risk losing myself to the seduction of dark magic before as only a life partner can protect me from the seduction and bring me back from it if I were seduced by the power of it." I explain to him still in the mind-link as we search around this huge place. Coming to the living-room, I see Leah all curled up cosy giggling and kissing Josh. She looks up and sees me. She stands and practically runs at me.

"OMG! Zoe….. I Know we would talk about how we would discuss everything before fully committing to our life partners, but he kissed me, and one thing leads to another and now we are mated and I'm sorry we didn't talk and..." She rambles on and on getting faster so I just shout:

"STOP WOMAN! Leah babes slow down and its ok, me too by the way!" I turn my head for her to see my mark.

"Hey! How did you mark him too?" She asked as she checks his neck too. A hint at jealously coming through that I was able to mark him but she hadn’t figured out how yet.

"Well, I tapped into Zena… I give my permission for you to do it to but ask her first!" I tell her with a little warning. The last time when she was practicing a sharing spell she tapped into my wolf and she was NOT a happy puppy!

"Yeah, I nearly lost a finger last time." She giggled as the lad's just stared at us, Surly confused. I close my eyes and call Zena with my heart. She appears at my side out of thin air... Looks at Leah and nods before laying down at Conner's feet next to the sofa. Guess she has accepted him then. He looks down and tickles her, looking back at me he smiles.

"She's accepted you babe." I tell him and he grins.

"She's also agreed to the share so you can mark Josh too now!" I tell Leah and she squeals as she runs and jumps on to Josh. I watch as she moves up towards his neck, marking him there and then in front of us. I hear him moan out and blush as I sit beside Conner, curling into his side as his arm comes around me.

"Err Can someone explain, like what the f**k just happened here?" Josh asks with a strange look as he looks between Leah and me.

"Well, I tapped into my familiar to mark Connor and Zena gave permission for Leah to do the same. If a witch taps into another witches familiar with out the familiar's consent, the familiar will be in pain…. Leah was practicing a spell once about 6 months ago and tapped into Zena accidently, she nipped her as a warning." I explain to Josh...

Connor's p. o. v

Zoe goes to sit by my side, and I pull her on to my lap as she sits and explains everything to Josh. She tells him about the groups after her and which super-naturals are in each of the groups along with their leaders. I zone out thinking of the conversation we were having as we found the two of them. So, I can share in her power, Do I want that? I mean if it can add protection to her or the pack then yes, I do but not just to have extra power as an alpha. Yes, it would add to my power, I mean a wolf with the power of the Centennial witch in him too! As well as her as a mate! f**k me, we could be dangerous if we weren’t the people that we are. In the wrong hands, I can see how this power would be devastating to this world... I can understand how you could become drunk on the power and use it for world domination, to become the ultimate leader to all races. We could come out of the shadows and rule human too… Someone like Carl Monroe and his asshole son would be a threat to everything in this world, maybe even the goddess herself!

She says no-one else know about this power sharing she can do, But I wonder if that's actually true? Why else would they be wanting to force a mating between her and Carl Monroe's son Luke? Yeah, powerful pups could be one reason but the way Carl speaks, it’s like he knows there is more power out there in the world for him…

She may think no-one knows but if I were gambling man, I would not put it past them. The more we assume that they know what we do, the less chance there will be of a f**k up in these situations and the less chance of me losing her to these bastards... We have only been together hours and it already feels like years. I can’t and won’t run any risk that could result in us losing her. I won’t survive losing the love of my life… Wait! Love… Could the mate bond work this fast? Could I already love this girl? … f**k! The sooner I announce her to the pack as my mate and Luna, the better and safer it will be if we are attacked. The warriors will fight so much harder having a Luna for the pack. Its only one of many things a Luna brings to a pack.

Especially as I have yet to inform the council about her, Carl is going to get to know she is with me, I bet they will request a visit to the pack to meet her. Guess I will be using them guest houses sooner than I ever thought if I allow them to come, but not allowing them will be as good as a decollation of war against the council and I have a feeling we will be needing them on side at some point in the battles to come. I best get a head start on it, the sooner I do this, the safe she will be.

"Babe, I'm going to nip into my office and get a Jump on the announcements. Can you and Leah stay with Josh while I am gone as none of the pack know of you yet and seeing two random girls walking about might freak them a little?” She nods so I continue:

“I'll announce it to everyone in the pack before I get on the phone with the council. You okay with that? I'll be about an hour or so… I don’t know if you know this but Carl is on the council so as soon as I inform them, and it’s a must that I do! Carl is going to know your location and that you are with me… He will most likely push to meet you and they will have to here. The pack and I will protect you but we will have to prepare for anything." I ask her not really wanting to leave her, but I won’t be long.

"Yeah, no problem babes, can we get pizza for dinner and go up to the bedroom after?" She asks.

"Yeah, No worries. I'll be back as soon as I can… Try not to worry too much, I’ll sort everything and let you know sweetheart." With that I give her a kiss and walk to my office... Questions that they could ask running wild through my head. I know this will look pretty convenient that I find my mate literally 7 days before I am forced to take a chosen mate, and she is none other than the Centennial Witch herself... Especially as Derrick was pushing me to take his granddaughter as my chosen mate, I mean she is pretty and has been groomed to be a Luna. But she isn’t what I was looking for in a mate, far too meek and pliable… The woman I was looking for would be strong and confident, able to stand her ground for what she believes in. Someone that will stand beside me as an equal and not behind me doing as she is told…

From what I can feel in the bond and what I already know of Zoe, the Moon Goddess must agree with me… Zoe is all I was looking for and more, obviously Selene herself saw what I wanted and realised the Zoe would be all I wanted and needed. The Goddess also knows I would fight with everything in me for my mate, maybe she also gave me Zoe because she would need that kind of love and devotion?
