I couldn't sleep, not when my mate's at the other room and smelling so good I wish I could eat him. He smelt like sweet honey and it was making me and Seere crazy. We want to have him in our arms and give him love like no one ever did to him. It was torture to just feel and smell our mate and not to touch him even though he was so near.
Eziel talked to me the next morning that he just considered my stay there last night because I was the cousin of the alpha of their allied pack disregarding of my rogue title.
Kurt wanted me to come back to their pack but I chose to leave and start my own life without belonging in a pack because I don't need someone to lead me.
"You know how big of an issue this is." Eziel said and we were standing in front of their pack house and he was talking about a rogue on their land without restraints. He was like displaying me to everyone there yet my mind was still occupied with my mate and I could feel him staring. I could feel his eyes on me making me snickered secretly and my eyes couldn't help but roll to where he was.
Paige was inside the house and he was peeking from the window, looking outside—or at me and he hastily pulled the curtains back, covering the window.
Isn't our mate cute? Seere said and I internally nodded my head. So f*****g cute, I want to pull him inside my arms and hug him so tight and I would never let him go.
"I know." I said to Eziel. "And you too know well that I'm going to fight for him no matter what."
You better be. I heard Eziel's wolf said making me smile.
"I hope you know what you're talking about." He said.
"Of course, I better be or I will never forgive myself." I said and turned my heels around.
"You know we'll treat you as a real rogue if you come back here again." He said making me turn my head back to him. "Just a warning."
As rogue who wanted to be a part of a pack, they have to choose wether to serve the pack as their slave for the rest of their lives or fight them all. Of course, I didn't want to be their slave because I'm too over qualified for that job. I maybe a rouge but I bet I am richer compared to their sentinels or other ranks their but I couldn't brag my riches because I was just a rogue: a threat of a pack, an outlaw, a traitor and a scum for them.
"I know and I'm ready as hell." I said before I started walking away without looking back because if I do, it would make it more difficult to leave the place if I saw Paige.
"Yeah, you better be." I heard him said making me snicker.
Of course, he didn't want his dear little brother to be mateless.

I couldn't stop thinking about Paige and I wanted to see him as soon as possible. I woke up early in the morning thinking what I was going to do. Of course, I couldn't take all of them but I intend to. I didn't go there early in the morning because I knew they have morning patrols and I didn't want to be swarmed by scouts and hunters instantly so I went there late in the morning. The place was quiet when I entered their territory. I continued walking normally when I felt a presence.
"Stop right there." Someone called and I stopped and waited for him to approach me, stopping a few meters away from me.
"I believe you're not from here." He said.
I got in last night because no one was guarding the place and it was already past midnight. Such a carefree land.
"I'm not."
"What do you want?"
"I want to talk to your alpha." I said even though I know that Chris was out to Kurt's land yesterday night.
"He's unavailable today." He said. "I advise you to leave our place—"
I attacked him first and he wasn't expecting me to move so his response was late for a few seconds taking him off guard and I know a few tricks because I learned different hand-to-hand combat techniques. I scored first and striked the side of his neck hard enough to knock him out and he wouldn't take that long to wake up so I ran.
I knew they already knew I was coming. Lucky, the first guy was the head scout and I got to access a few of his memories and I could see a woman, his mate, talking about Paige that he hadn't been eating and only stayed in his room for the rest of the day.
Seere growled when I felt a few of them were approaching me in their feral form. I shifted into my wolf and turned to a different path. It felt like I already knew all the places in their land because I got to see the memories of that head scout I knocked.
I stopped from running when I felt I was surrounded already and I could smell Eziel. I looked at the wolves that surrounds me and then I saw Eziel with his wolf as huge as mine came out from the circle.
Did you have to harm someone? He growled at me.
Isn't it what everyone expects a rogue would do when they enter someone else's territory, right? Lucky that I didn't kill him. I growled back.
That would means that you wage a war if you did.
Of course, I know. I want to talk to your alpha. I said.
You have to pass through us first. Someone said, baring his teeth at me and I wanted to knock him right there and then if they weren't that many.
Come and get me then if you think you can stand a chance on me. I tried provoking them and one of them charged at me and I heard Eziel growled to stop but he didn't listened and attacked me.
I also charged at him, our bodies clashing together and tried to bite each other. He was a hunter and I know hunter knew how to slay their prey in every possible way.
He stepped back and gnarled angrily at me.
Stop! Eziel said and I stopped but this hunter doesn't have any intention to stop. I jumped at him before he could attack me again and held my jaw on his neck hearing him whimper and everything went lose.
They started charging at me and of course, I didn't stand a chance with all of them attacking at once but at least I got to kick another wolf before someone bit my left leg and dragged me making me whimper.
"Stop!"
I thought the world stopped when I heard Paige's voice and I didn't care if they tore me apart, I just didn't want my mate to get involved. They let go of me and I tried to stand with one of my leg badly injured and still in the process of healing when Paige threw himself on me.
"Paige!" Eziel who shifted on his human form called him.
Paige wrapped his arms around me and all the pains from their bites went away.
"No. Stop! Why are you hurting him?" He exclaimed and I sighed in relief as Paige hugged me tighter but remained cautious at the surroundings.
"What are you doing!? He's a rogue!" One of them said the moment he shifted back into his human.
"The rogue you're talking about is my mate!" Paige said and I felt so happy that he accepted me as his. I could see that everyone there was surprised to hear Paige.
The man turned to Eziel. "You mean he's here for the challenge?"
"Yes and we can't do anything without our alpha's decision and approval."
I sighed and tried to cuddle to my mate, brushing my cheek on him. The sweet smell of honey was intoxicating and he was making me heal faster.
I knew he would be worth the fight.
