"What did I lie to you about?" Ruth is now so curious she feels like wringing the words out of Lucy.
"You lied to me that you are not dating the men you live with!"
Two fine wrinkles appear between Ruth's eyebrows in a frown. "What do you mean, I am not dating any of the men I live with!"
"Goodness, you still have the guts to lie!"
Ruth narrows her eyes, then raises a palm.
"Wait, did Adam tell you that I am dating him?"
Since Lucy had mentioned something about wanting to start dating, Ruth assumed she had plucked the courage to ask Adam out...
But that doesn't make sense. Adam was the one that had dragged Lucy out of the room, not the other way round.
"Yes, he disclosed that the two of you are dating, and that he loves you!"
