Chapter 5

1047 Words
Guns, cocaine, and parts to something I couldn't tell. I tried to stay calm with my reaction as I walked behind Eran to the back of the warehouse in a cage room. There was something being built under a tarp, parts sitting around and explosive material. Then it all clicked, the reason all these parts were sitting around the warehouse is because he is building a bomb. I had to tell headquarters but I wouldn't be able to contact them till after everyone went to sleep, but I wasn't sure how that would work yet. I kept my eyes forward to keep from looking suspicious, I was still new and needed to stay under the radar. I saw Mark look over at me as if to study me, it made me wonder if he was the one that was looking at me through the door when I first arrived.  I needed to stay focused and on the mission, no time for evil slithering men that were only going to get me caught in the process of my job. I needed to figure out who was the only one I could trust that was in the CSI here. I had no clue but I would keep looking around till I did find them. Eran was talking to someone that was behind the tarp, I was listening trying to stay out of my own head and figure out more about this bomb.  “Why is it taking so long to build this?” “Sir, it takes time to figure out how to make this so complex without getting blown up myself.” “I hired you to get this done by now.” “Yes, but you also hired me to make it right and make it so it doesnt its job the way you want it to.” Eran looked frustrated at this point.  “When do you think it will be done?” “In about a month and a half.” Eran turned around and talked away, as me and Mark followed, someone came walking up to the side of him matching his pace, handing him some paperwork. Eran signed and kept walking, not missing a beet. Mark got in front of us and opened the door to the car for me and Eran, when we took off, Eran got a call. Everyone was quiet, I could hear only one part of the conversation but it sounded like there was something wrong. Eran hung up and yelled to the driver a different location, the driver turned down a different road and to the middle of some woods. Coming to a stop there were some other people I had seen at the house standing in front of a man kneeling down. I got out with the others opening the door for them, Eran then looked at me.  “Take him out.” I was shocked to say the least, I knew this job was going to have some things I didn't like but I took out my pistol anyways and without hesitation shot the man in the head, blood splattering all over me, not taking my eyes off of Eran. Eran touched me on the shoulder and turned around getting into the car, I looked over to Mark and he grinned, like he knew something I didn’t. I wasn’t sure what to expect from him, but I was ready for anything. We both got in the car and took off leaving the other guys there. As we pulled up to the house Eran looked at me with something in his eyes.  “Take the rest of the day off, you have proven yourself to me, oh, and I forgot about this earlier, but you get off at 9 pm and back to work at 7 am.” “Are you sure? I mean, are you sure about me taking off the rest of the day?” “Yes, like I had said, you have proven to me that you can be trusted and I want you to be able to get settled and Geffery my butler will get you suited up.” “Yes sir.” I got out, Eran grabbed the door and closed it behind me, I watched as they left me behind on the steps, not sure if I should trust this or not. I walked up the steps and to the front door. “Hello, my name is Geffery, I am here to take you to get suited and to get weapons. Are you ready?” “Sure” I followed him to the basement where a tailor and gunmen were waiting. The tailor picked out my exact size and handed it to me pointing to a room for me to change in. I got changed and was surprised to see me in a suit at all, I saw a trench coat and pointed asking if I could try it on. They nodded and handed me a size they thought would work for my guns and all. They stared at me like I was death or something, then Geffery took me over to the weapons specialist. He looked at me once and turned around to pick out some weapons he thought I might like, two black pistols with a vest-like holster and four daggers with belt sleeves. I grabbed them all and put them on, he looked at me and nodded.  Geffery then led me to my room in the house, I walked in to find my bags had already been put away, there was a bed night stand and a desk with something on it. I went over to see a sketchbook and drawing pencils. I looked over and he smiled. “The boss likes to make sure we are comfortable and show his appreciation.” I nodded and he left, I left them there not worried about it, I haven't drawn in years and wasn't planning on doing it now, I started to take out my clothes and put them away in a dresser I had in a corner of the room. A little while later the tailor from before came to my room with more suits, I knew this was what I needed to wear on a daily basis, he even brought me another coat. Once it got dark, I decided it was time for me to go to bed for the long days ahead of me.
