The next week was running around town getting things for his bomb and playing pool with the guys when I wasn't too tired that night. It’s Saturday now and tomorrow is the only thing I can think about. We walked into the warehouse at twelve and back to the bomb, they talked about that progress and argued about the timeline again. Once they were done, we left and we got stopped by traffic. I could see people walking down the road with guns and yelled for everyone to get down when they pointed them at us. I covered Eran with myself and got hit in the side, At this point I'm pissed and get out of the car and pull out my guns from my trench coat and start shooting them down. I see one take off and yell at Mark to keep Eran safe. My blood dripping from my side I start running after the guy down an alley, I tackle him down and fight him with the pain shooting up my side. Once I knock him out I drag him back to the car and cuff him. Eran is safe thank god, if he was dead I would have failed. I look up at Mark, still pissed and nod, he takes the guy from me and puts him in the car behind us.
We finally get past all of the cars and back to the house, I make sure Eran gets inside with the others that showed up at the car, and turn to the other car. I go over and drag the other guy out, following Mark to the interrogation room. I strap him down to the chair and step back, Mark sees the blood on the ground and grabs my arm swinging me around. I yank away from him.
“Don’t touch me ass hole.”
“You need to get that checked.”
“I’m fine, besides we have work to do.”
“Look at me, he is strapped to the chair. I got this part, you have been shot and need to be looked at.”
“I’m fine.”
“Clark, take her to the med room.”
“I’m not touching her.”
“Please.”
Mark never took his eyes off of me with a snarl as he said the last thing. Clark looked at me with a pleading look, I finally realized the blood wasn't stopping. I followed Clark to the med room and sat down, the woman that was working there looked at me and with a stern tone told me to take off my coat. I did as she said not wanting to argue anymore, she took me to the back and told me to take off my shirt. I layed down once my shirt was off, she grabbed a needle with something in it, as she went to inject it I stopped her saying only no. She looked at me funny but put it down, She grabbed these long tweezers to the bullet. As she dug I didn’t flinch, ignoring the pain and looked over to the door where Clark was still standing, watching. She finally grabbed the bullet and pulled it out hard, she held it up and it looked like it had hit a metal door. I tried to sit up but she pushed me back down.
“I’m not done with you yet.”
“You have the bullet, that's all.”
“No, now I have to patch you up, stitches and pads.”
I groaned and did as she said, I hated it when other people patched me up. As she stitched me up I asked Clark to get me a new stirt for when she was done. He left to get one from the tailor for me. I didn’t want to walk out of here with no shirt in front of a bunch of guys. She was putting the gaze on and telling me to keep it clean for two weeks till I came to see her again. Clark walks in and hands me a new shirt, I thank him and her even though I was being stubborn, she laughed saying your welcome. When I walked out with Clark he stopped me for a moment.
“Um, boss man wants to see you in his office. I don’t know why.”
I nodded and headed that way, not sure why he wanted to talk to me like this. Had I done something wrong? Well I was about to find out. I walk to the office and slowly open them, seeing Mark standing beside him. I walk up and stop a few feet away from the desk.
“You have done well today, the person you tracked down was part of my rivals, a group named Iriscioglio Clan. He gave us some information about what they were planning and why they tried to attack. Thanks to you they didn’t get what they were trying to get. I'm giving you a week off for that side and the day you need to go back to the Doc.”
“Umm, thank you sir, I'm not trying to seem ungrateful but what about your safety?”
“Mark has offered to take over your shifts as well. To work around the clock.”
I looked over at him, not understanding how he can do that for a week with no sleep.
“Clark has also offered to help with your shifts, so I will be talking to them about how we are going to work this out.”
I turned around and started to walk out, stopped at the door and turned around.
“Thank you”
Everyone nodded, so I left not sure how I felt about all of this. I grabbed my car keys he had given me to go to the store and get some things to take care of my wounds. I drove to the gate at the front of the property and told them where I was going, they let me through with no hassle.
