“Hey, Ari?” Katelyn came out to the kitchen to make dinner with her friend. She had just got off the phone with her mom who, again, told her no need to come home soon. No reasons given, no explanation needed. Katelyn didn’t want to be anywhere Kellan could find her, and hopefully that extended to Ari’s home.   “Hey,” Ari gave her a sweet smile while sharpening the large knife in her hands. “You talk to your mom?” She already knew what Katelyn’s mom would say.
