CHAPTER 05 : ENCOUNTER

"Excuse me!" Rhian hastily went to the hospital after she received the call.
"Excuse me, Shino---did you receive any patient that is a company employee just now??" Rhian hastily asked the information center
"This way ma'am." the nurse lead her on the ward and immediately followed.
The nurse opened the hospital curtains and there she spotted..... Shino, who is lying on the bed, his shoulder was moving upward-downward as the oxygen inhaler helped him in regaining his normal breathing process. His eyes were closed but it is obvious that he's having a deep nightmare because his eyelids were shaking and his fist is gripping tightly.
Rhian covered her mouth with her hands at the sight of his son, she always feared this kind of event, she should have stopped him from working in a public field from the very start.
She should have not let him!
"Um, excuse me." she turned to the voice and saw a young fine man approach her with a down look.
He politely bowed to her, "I am the CEO of Jack Finance Company, Daylan Jack."
Rhian's eyes widened and also responded with a bow, "Hello." confused about why this prestigious person is here.
"Are you perhaps Shino's mother?" he asked referring to Shino
Rhian nodded, "Yes I am."
"I am the one who brought Shino here after he had a breakdown when we..." he looked sideways and tried not to be detailed
"...he had a breakdown while we're talking," he said instead.
"He started shaking and his breathing became unstable. We brought him here immediately and made the call to you." he reached for his things including the cellphone.
"These are his things." he gave them to her.
"Once again, I'm sorry Ma'am." he was about to bow again but Rhian is still confused and immediately opposes the young man to bow anymore.
"Please...." she said, "...I am grateful enough."
She continued, "This is something predictable but I didn't think will occur on his first day at work. Thank you for taking care of him." she thanked and bowed back
"Oh please don't. This is a normal thing for the person leading should do on his employees...." he said but became too curious about Shino's condition
"....but if I may ask, what do you mean by predictable? Is this a normal occurrence on Shino?" he asked in all curiosity
But Shino started to open his eyes, his forehead wet from the intense sweat his glands produced. He's slightly awake but he immediately saw the familiar figure of his mother by the side.
Rhian gasped and quickly went to Shino's side, taking his cold hand to cover it from her warmth. "Shino?" she called
Shino turned to her, seeing her worried face again. He nodded giving her a signal that he's okay.
Rhian sighed in relief, "We'll go home after you are fully recovered okay?"
It is seen in his motion and weak responses that he needs more rest.
Shino slightly nodded again, closed his eyes to recuperate his body and to refresh his internal functions. The moment he completely fell asleep, his mother stood to thank the young CEO again.
"I am sorry about what happened today Sir. As her mother, I will make sure not to let him cause trouble again," she said
Daylan was taken aback, "No, no, he didn't cause any." he defended.
He was guilty because in looking at the right angle, he's at fault here on how he carelessly approached the young man, triggering something on Shino
But he finally concluded that there's a deep reason why he can't look at people directly. Something.
"Thank you again Sir for taking care of my son." Rhian once again gave her gratitude
"Yes, of course, no problem," Daylan replied in all liveliness, still standing in his place.
But silence occupied them as they both didn't move on their position.
He just then realized that Shino's mother was waiting for him to leave.
He awkwardly laugh, "Ugh, because I have things to do, I think I must go?" he was unsure. He glanced at Shino who was already fast asleep, his breathing became stable and there's no more traces of pain on his expression.
"Yes, I think I must go now." he finally said, he still wanted to wait for further recovery of Shino but he guessed that this is already something his mother can handle.
Shino's mother made an unnoticeable sigh of relief, "Take care on your way Sir." she said
Daylan smiled, "You too Ma'am and for Shino." he turned to leave the area.
"Sir, your mother has called several times already." his secretary followed his pace out of the hospital.
"Did she?" he sighed
"I just wonder what made her urgently call me."
He seated inside the car and loosened his tie. It started as a lively day, he thought.
And ended with a bit of trouble. He just hope that Shino would recover fast, he's worried for him because his first day at his first job ended like this.
He then remembered his approach to the man earlier.
He rubbed his finger where the delicate skin of the man lingered and Shino's up-close face immediately went into his mind.
His soft but trembling expression.
It was his first time seeing that on a man's appearance. Those bluish eyes, his clear and fair skin plus the pinkish lips that are so tender, he wondered if he touched it, what would it feel...
But he snapped, blinked, and bumped his head on the car window.
'What was I thinking?!' he thought
"Sir are you okay?" his secretary asked while driving the car, seeing him in the mirror in front.
"Of course! Haha, always been." he reasoned out while smiling
"But you're quite red Sir."
Daylan touched his face and laughed again, "The heat maybe?"
"But the car's air-con is fully maximized Sir." his secretary refuted
Daylan groaned, "Well whatever Mr. Kim, it's the common occurrence when men just became 25."
"Hm." his secretary can only nod.
"So where are we heading?" he turned his focus on the current matter
"To madam's favorite place Sir." Mr. Kim
replied
Daylan sighed hinting something about this.
