Betrayed by my Alpha mate

Nobody expected it

15 days later, in the Leinnoy herd from Ethan's point of view.

"Where is she? where is she?" I said looking at the people in front of me with their eyes on the ground.

I could feel their nervous looks as they heard me, "How is this possible? It's been 15 days and you haven't even been able to find a girl who hasn't even found her wolf? you're all useless!" I shouted as I threw a cup of water on the ground and saw its pieces scatter everywhere.

"I'm so sorry young alpha, we have looked everywhere for her, but, she is nowhere in our pack. I... I don't think she went to the dark forest" answered one of the men with a low tone of voice.

I felt my blood boil inside my body when I heard that. I just closed my eyes and frowned hard "get out now! i don't want to see your faces until you find her and bring her back to the herd!" he exclaimed angrily.

It's 15 days since Tessa ran away from the herd, at first i thought she was just angry and would cry all night. i didn't feel it important to pursue. after all, she would eventually calm down and come back to the herd to accept my generous offer.

I had planned to persuade her by seeing her come back and making her my replacement, but... I never thought she would leave Leinnoy in that way.

I knew my relationship with Lexa would hurt her, but running away? I didn't expect her to do that.

Tessa didn't have an intimate relationship with me, but, still, she was my destined mate. We have a bond that binds us together as a mate and a wolf. especially now, that I will have the title of alpha.

If the pack finds out that my mate has fled, things could get worse.

On the other hand, Lexa is attractive, sexy and my heart beats for her, but unfortunately my mate is Tessa, and her presence is important for my power to fully ascend.

I can't forget that night, when Tessa rejected me in front of my family... I could clearly feel how a pain seized my chest and everything inside me burned slowly...

If only the priest hadn't given me that healing elixir I would have died! How the hell could Tessa do that? I never imagined that she would be able to refuse the offer!

But, I underestimated her, she even announced her renunciation of the bond that unites us as a couple.

I didn't... I didn't mean for this to happen. I never wanted to lose my Mate. Without Tessa, my true mate, I'll never get the title of alpha.

Damn it! Why did she have to leave? Didn't she understand that I would take care of her? I would give her all of Luna's rights, except for Luna's title...

But, she wanted everything,.. she refused without hesitation.

My mind fluttered in a thousand thoughts. It was all my fault, but, I wouldn't give up. my power depends on that bond.

"They still don't know anything about Tessa? do you think they'll find her?"

I suddenly heard Lexa's soft, worried voice behind me. She was standing by the door with an embarrassed expression.

I just shook my head as she gave me a small smile in return and approached me attentively.

"it's my fault, if it wasn't for me, she would still be here. I think we made a mistake with all this, she will never accept our relationship..." Lexa hinted in a light voice.

"Don't say that... she's just angry. She'll come back... she's... she's just hiding" I said with a grimace on my lips.

"Ethan, she rejected you," Lexa exclaimed.

I couldn't help but close my eyes and turn away armed. those words were something I didn't want to assimilate, not yet.

"You should leave now. I have a lot to do" I told her with a serious expression.

Seeing me like that, she turned pale and frowned "Ethan... I know you're thinking a lot and you're worried about Tessa. She left 15 days ago and I've been thinking a lot about her too. She is my sister and that will not change. even though our blood is not the same. We were both raised together, and that's something I will never forget. we were all guilty of this..."

Those words were simple, but they held great meaning. When she finished speaking, I looked up and saw her. She had her beautiful pale face as her eyes reddened and tears flowed down her delicate cheeks.

I felt terrible. It was pitiful to see her like that. So I just reached out my hand and took her hand and gently pulled her to my breast.

"Don't worry about her. She's alone, she doesn't have anyone else besides us. she'll be back, she won't be able to hide for so long" I said trying to ease Lexa's worry.

Unfortunately even I wasn't sure of my words.

Even when Tessa was claimed as my destined bellwether, I was never as close to her as I have been to Lexa. But, she was my mate and I have a certain responsibility to her.

So I don't know how short my words are now, as I try to comfort my beloved Lexa.

At my poignant words, Lexa looked up and placed her cheek on my chest "you mean it?"

I soon shook my head and tried to calm her down. It was no surprise, we both knew that day would come sooner or later, even if Tessa hadn't discovered us.

Even so, Lexa and I had planned it before, I would find a way to make Tessa understand the situation and we would solve it without a problem, but we never took her feelings into account.

We didn't know Tessa would be so hard to deal with.

Thinking about it, I was about to say something else, but there was the sudden sound of a knock on the door.

"Young alpha, the alpha is calling you to the yellow room" I heard Connor's voice behind the door.

Connor had a neutral expression since Tessa had left. in fact, it was the first time they had spoken to me since that day.

I immediately nodded my head up and down "I'll be there in a second" I said.

Hearing me, Connor just frowned, and without looking at me, he just turned silently and walked away.

I was about to say something, but, it was obvious that Connor didn't want anything from me.
