Chapter Fourteen Claudia let herself linger over a long lunch with Chrissy. She didn’t feel much like conversation, but Chrissy seemed able to keep one going for both of them. Most of what she said had to do with how she remembered her hometown used to be. It was moderately interesting, but the country was probably full of people who could talk about that.
