Lincoln's p.o.v
I left Victoria's house with the biggest smile on my face. I have no idea how I got so damn lucky. My life has been nothing but bad luck for so long, but I can already tell that meeting Victoria has changed everything for me. I have never felt this way meeting anyone. I drive back home to meet with my sister and head to the club house. We got work to do now. On the way home, I think about everything that I have gone through to get here.
*flashback*
I grab the flowers and head inside the clubhouse to gift Caila these and the necklace I got her for her birthday. We have been dating for a year and things are getting serious between us. I am thinking of buying a house and asking her to move in with me. My sister Daniela doesn't like her though, so that is a problem. Growing up, we had the perfect family. A loving mother, a hard-working father, my sister and I. Our mom got sick when I was 15 and she passed away and dad lost himself in grief. He began drinking and doing drugs and stopped taking care of us. He started disappearing for days at a time, first, then weeks, then months, and then he never came home. We ended up having to live with an uncle who treated us like sh!t, but we had nowhere else to go. I have tried to get my dad help for years, but he doesn't want it, so we just try to find him every so often, to make sure he is still alive. Caila has never judged me for having a druggie as a father. She accepts me for who I am, but then again, her parents aren't sh!t either. They basically left her to fend for herself. At an early age, she learned to do things to get whatever she wanted or needed. Because of that, now the only problem in our relationship is that she is high maintenance and I have to work and go on runs to get enough money to be able to buy her everything she wants. She can never keep a job and she told me she wanted to be a stay-at-home girlfriend and I guess, eventually, wife. Like a trophy wife and for me to take care of her. I don't mind, but a regular job does not pay what I need to keep up with her and everything else I have going on, so I have no choice but to do illegal things which I hate. I hate having to leave her and my sister for so long. My sister needs me more than anyone. I promised her I would never leave her alone. Living with our uncle made him think that he could touch my sister and try to take advantage of her. I beat the sh!t out of him when I caught him in her room and on top of her. Since that day, I promised I would always take care of her. Our aunt was quick to take his side and we got kicked out and that is how we found the Outlaws and joined the club. My brothers have been good to me.
I have been gone for 2 weeks now, on a run, delivering guns and drugs. A job that was supposed to take 3 weeks, but I go do what I have to and I am out of there quickly. I don't want to get caught up in any sh!t. I am risking a lot here, but hopefully everything will be worth it if she agrees to move in with me. Eventually, I want to go legal. I don't want to have to do any of this. I have a degree, but here no-one is paying a lot to build homes. It would be nice to find a company I can work for full time doing what I went to school for though and actually get paid enough, but who am I kidding, the way Caila spends, I would still need a side job. I want to have a family. I want babies and I want to give them everything, and I need money for that. I refuse to let my family struggle.
I came home early to surprise her. I can't wait to see her face. I walk inside and I notice how some of my brothers are looking at me. Clearly shocked to see me. I nod to them and rush to my room. I open the door and my mouth hangs open at what is going on right in front of me. I drop the flowers on the floor. Two of my brothers are f*cking Caila, my girlfriend. She has one of their, c0cks in her mouth and the other is f**k!ng her from the back. "Lincoln" my sister Dani comes up behind me. The three of them turn and find us standing there. Caila moves and tries to cover herself up. Dani looks at them with wide eyes. "I knew she was a wh0re. I just knew it." she says. "I am not a wh0re. I just have needs that Lincoln is not meeting. He is always working too much and doesn't give me any attention. He doesn't have any time for me." Caila says, and I am livid. I work my a$$ off to give her the life she wants. "Hey Link, this is nothing. Happens all the time, doesn't mean anything though." Someone who I thought was my brother says to me. Caila glares at him. "What he means is that you should come join us, Lincoln." she says with no shame and I feel like I am going to throw up. "How long Caila? How long have you been f*cking my brothers?" I ask her. She doesn't answer. I don't want to snap, so I turn around and walk away. "Link, come into my office," the club president, Ram, tells me. I follow him. I know I am breathing hard. One thing I learned throughout the years is not to allow anyone to see your weaknesses. My sister and I have been through a lot, from starving and homeless to not having even a penny and no-one ever knew. I can't show them that this sh!t is getting to me, so I try calming myself down. "Brother, you didn't know?" he asks and I shake my head. Guess I am not doing a good job at showing how much it is affecting me."From what everyone here thought, you and Caila have an open relationship and you are okay with her f*cking everyone." he says. "Everyone?" I ask. "Link, Caila has f*cked and s*cked everyone here. We thought you just brought her in as a club girl." he says, and I am even more disgusted now. Completely thrown off. "No-one thought to tell me they were f**k!ng her too? You would all see me come home and give her everything. You all really thought I would treat a club girl that way?" I yell. He shrugs. "People do stranger things" he says. "Wow" is all I can say. I walk out of the clubhouse, my sister behind me. "Link, I am sorry. You don't deserve this. Lets go out for a drink so you can calm down and forget this" she says.
We arrive at a bar and we order some beers. "What are you going to do?" she asks me. "I have no idea. How can I even go back there? Everyone f*cked her Dani. They all looked at me in my face after f*cking her and no-one told me a damn thing. They thought I took her there for everyone to enjoy." I say, laughing. I feel betrayed, not just by her, but by everyone. "Lincoln, is that you?" I hear. I turn around and find my old college buddy Levi standing behind us. "Daniela" he says and hugs her and I shake his hand. "What are you doing here?" I ask him. "Stopped by for a friend's engagement dinner, but things went wrong and I doubt there will be a wedding anymore, so we decided to come out and get smashed. Tony and Jandro are here too," he says. He calls them all over and we have a couple of beers and just hang out. Levi tells us about his hometown and I love the way he paints the town and the people there. Daniela reads my mind and asks him more about the place. She is on her phone the whole time and hands it to me. "We are looking to relocate," she tells him. There's an outlaws chapter in his town. "I really think you two would like it there. I can get you in touch with a real estate agent if you are serious." Levi tells us. "We are, there's a chapter near your area, we can get transferred." she tells him. "Sounds like it is meant to be. Would be good to have you two close by," he says. That night, I returned to the club house. Decisions had been made. I was ready to start over and leave everyone here behind. Not like anyone even cared about me anyway, so I asked for a meeting with Ram and asked for a transfer for my sister and I.
The transfer took 3 weeks. Luckily, we got this house rented and in contact with our new chapter President. A huge guy named Monster who I had met once before. Real cool guy. Caila kept trying to talk to me, but I avoided her. I also avoided the club. I turned in my patches, I knew I would get new ones when I got to the new club. Daniela said there was a goodbye party at the club for us, but I didn't go. Why would I party with a bunch of liars? I want to leave this all in the past. Instead, I went to look for my father. It took a couple of hours, but I found him. I found him stumbling in an alley outside of a bar. "Dad, it's me Lincoln." I said. "Son" he looked at me, but I could tell that he was high. "Dad, Daniela and I are moving away. Want to come with us? I can get you in rehab. Please, I need you." I said. F*ck, do I need him now more than ever. I wish my mom was still alive. She could help me. I need to know what to do. I do not want to become a bitter man over this. With dad being a wild card. I wrote down our phone numbers and our new address and told him to call or come find us when he was ready.
Now I am here, sitting in a meeting with Daniela, Monster and his son, Runner. "Welcome. We are happy to have you both here. Is there anything you are good at so we can get you both working right away?" he asks us. I tell him about my schooling and how I can do construction work, electricity, I am just good with my hands. "Great, this is actually perfect. We are opening a new restaurant right now and we need everything done to it. It is a shell of a place right now. We have actually been expanding the town throughout the years and we still have a lot more planned," he tells me. "Sign me up. I can get to work right away." I say, knowing that staying busy right now is the best thing for me. "I can work security", Daniela says, so he sets us up and tells us what we need to do. "Link, can I speak to you in private for a moment," Monster tells me. I stay behind while the other two take their leave. "Your previous President informed me of the reason for your transfer," he says. I don't even know what to say. I wanted to leave this behind me. "Look, you have nothing to be ashamed of. You won't have that problem here. We are real brothers, a family. Most of us here have old ladies and families and we respect them. Single men do enjoy the club girls, but everyone here is respectful of one another and we all take care of each other. You seem like a cool man. You will be working with me personally. Your previous President had nothing but good things to say about you. He was actually upset to be losing you, but he also said he understood." he tells me. "I don't want to sound rude, but I'd like to leave that part of my life in the past. I am glad that you are telling me that people here aren't like that though, because I am ready to start over." I say. "Sounds good. Be at this location at 7am, ready to work." he tells me and hands me a file. "Cool, see you tomorrow." I say and head out. I take my phone out and send a text message. I smile. It has been a couple of hours, I wonder if it would be weird if I popped up on Victoria. My phone dings and she tells me her family showed up unexpectedly but that she wants to see me tomorrow. With this, I head home, eat some food and decide to catch up on sleep. I need to be ready to work and see Victoria tomorrow.
