Chapter 7 The Dead are Gone

989 Words
Since then, Janette had accepted Julian's arrangement and launched a series of training and changes for revenge. Half a year later, one day in Keens, the scenery near the window was particularly good. Julian sat at his desk and looked out of the window. The traffic was busy. The neon lights in the evening lighted up the city. He was dressed in a suit and formal shoes. He raised his hand and looked at his wrist. It was almost seven o'clock. The second hand went advance step by step, suddenly, with the sonorous sound of high-heeled shoes, Julian looked up. Janette's red skirt extended all the way to her ankles, and the delicate makeup on her face was not strong, which was paticularly good for her. Her long, curly hair was put down, covering her back, which gave people a feeling of desire of exploring her beautiful back covered by long hair. As Janette sat down, Julian took another look at the expensive watch. It was exactly their scheduled time. "It's quite accurate." Julian praised with a smile on his face. "It’s all from your teaching, sir!" Janette slightly smiled, which was incomparably sensuous. For most of the past six months, Janette's life had not been easy. She learned series of financial knowledge and many skills. Julian taught her too many things, which are not the most important. The most important thing was that he taught her how to be more confident and charming. However, good looks were mostly piled up by money. In addition, in the process of getting along with Julian, Janette increasingly felt that Julian was not as simple as she thought. The world-famous Emma Group of Kingdom was in his hands. His power was even equal to Shane. If he directly showed the real identity to the public, even Shane could not ignore his influence. But why did he appear as a doctor, and help her escape from Shane? If it was just for revenge, wasn't it more direct and enjoyable to "crush" Shane in the commercial field? Why did he take great pains? Janette couldn't figure out a lot of things, but what made her even more uneasy was that in the past six months, she had quietly asked someone to check Shane, but she couldn't find out any bad evidence about him. He was the leader of such a big business empire, but no one in the world knew him yet. How could he be so understated but so easily be "revealed"? "I have ordered your favorite Chateau Margaux." Julian said. "Thank you, Mr. Yale." Janette smiled and then changed the topic, "but I wonder... When will my 'special training' end?" "Wait a minute." Julian said simply and clearly, and he poured the wine for Janette. They cheered. Janette's heart sank half at once, even if it was such expensive red wine, she couldn't taste it at this time. She ate foods quietly. In the past few months, she almost didn't learn anything else but to keep silent. The atmosphere was a little bit cold, but it seemed that both of them didn't care much about it. Originally, they didn't have a dating relationship. Coming to such a western restaurant was just to test Janette's training results. After eating, when they were ready to pay the bill and leave, they saw a loving couple coming in from the door. Janette was stunned for a moment. In countless nights, she had imagined countless scenes of meeting Shane, but she never thought it was like this. She was very nervous, unconsciously clenching her fists. Her palms were sweating and her heart beated faster. Suprisedly, Janette turned to Julian, who picked his eyebrow with a shrug, meaning he did not know either. "Yes, maybe it's just a coincidence." Janette told herself. Shane was on a business trip to Kingdom. Ann's condition was also better by chance, so he took her to relax with him by the way. But he was too busy. Fortunately, Ann was considerate. In the three days on business, it seemed that he hadn't had a good meal with her. But for Ann's coquettish complaint, he remembered that he brought her here to accompany her more. So he asked his assistant to push the evening party and take Ann out for dinner. As soon as he walked in, a red figure attracted him. The woman, who was hard to restrain her amorous feelings, was exuding the charm of "upper class" in her actions. Taking a closer look, he felt she looked familiar to him. For a moment, he couldn't recall the source of the familiar feeling, but suddenly he heard Ann saying by his ear, "Shane, do you think the woman in the red skirt over there looks like Janette?" After hearing this, Shane was stunned. It seemed that this woman was very similar to Janette. However,he could judge by her temperament that this woman was definitely not her. "It's just a bit similar. Janette is dead. Why do we mention a dead woman in such a good night?" Shane said. His voice was not big, but Janette heard his words clearly. In his heart, she was just a "dead woman". "Shane, I know you may not be happy to mention her, but Janette is no longer here. If it hasn't been her..." Ann said softly, but Janette understood Ann's real personality in her heart. She didn't really feel sorry for her death. She just felt uneasy for Shane looking at another woman. So she mentioned Janette and wanted to disgust him. The calculation of this cunning girl was everywhere! At the same time, Ann also looked he. She and Janette saw each other. In a flash, a kind of fear suddenly appeared in Ann’s heart. She looked at the woman in red. If she didn't know that Janette had been dead for a long time, she really thought it was a "living corpse"!
