Ann was getting better in ICU.
The great house of Swan decaded too quickly.
When Henry Swan got the news of his daughter's death in prison, he fell to the ground. As a man in his fifties, his hair suddenly turned grey overnight. He went through the tragedy of offspring dying before its eldership again. His good son and good daughter left one after another. There was nothing worse.
However, on the day when Janette was about to be cremated, another accident happened in the hospital. Nobody knew how the fire broke out. Janette's bones were burnt into ashes. After the firemen came to put out the fire, there were only a few remains left.
For the series of accidents in the hospital, Shane, who was always careful, was suspicious. He was about to go to see the scene when he suddenly received a call from Ann, who was getting better. Ann was very weak. She seemed to have exhausted all her strength in the call. "Shane, it's me who's bad. I hurt her. Shane, I..."
"Stop talking. I'll come and see you now." Shane was distressed for her, so he forgot to go to check the scene. Maybe he was too thoughtful. He also saw the body that day. She had really died. Now that the remains were burnt like this, he was afraid he couldn't find any clues. He dialed another number to ask the hospital to deal with it as soon as possible.
In VIP ward, Ann was lying on the bed quietly. Shane came in and walked towards her. He reached for her hand.
"Are you getting better?" His gentle voice was like a stimulant for Ann, which made her feel better in a moment.
"Shane, here you are." When she said about this, Ann was choked and looked like a child who had done something wrong. "it's me, poor Janette, she... I'm sorry..."
"It's not your fault!" Shane said. "Now it's the best ending for her."
One week later, Janette's funeral was simply held. There was no one except the staff and Shane.
Shane looked at the photo on the tombstone, and did not move for a long time. No one knew what he was thinking at this time.
A pair of eyes in the distance watched the scene.
"Shane, don't you have any guilt about Janette's death?" She wanted to go up to him and question him loudly, but she couldn't.
Hearing the footsteps, Shane turned his head. To his surprise, Julian Yale was the one who came to the memorial ceremony.
"Dr. Yale?" Shane looks at the man in black silk suit.
"Mr. Graham." Julian greeted him lightly, and put the white lilac bouquet in front of the tombstone.
"Why?" Shane asked.
"After all, she's my patient. I'm sorry that she's gone. Please forgive me." Julian said.
Although Shane couldn't see a trace of apology from Julian's face, he said politely, "Thank you, you are so considerate. But Dr. Yale, will you treat every of your patients like this?"
Julian smiled, but didn't answer him. He were staring at the picture on the tombstone for a moment.
Shane looked at Julian looking at the photo of his dead wife. He felt very uncomfortable. No matter what happened, Janette was his wife. However, Julian gave him the feeling that he was the partner of Janette, who was separated by death with sorrow.
It made him feel very uncomfortable.
Three months later.
The bright sunshine outside the window was a little harsh.
Janette sat at the table eating a simple breakfast, the scar on her face had been cured a lot.
That large area of burn made her pretty face become ferocious and embarrassing. Fortunately, Julian helped her with plastic surgery and repaired her face in time. Although there were some slight differences from before, her face didn't change much in general.
The door opened, and Julian came in in his casual clothes.
"Is there anything else to eat? I'm starving." Julian went to the table, directly picked up Janette's milk cup and drank it.
"Hey, it’s my cup." Janette tried to grab the cup, but Julian's action was faster than her. He reached out and stopped her.
"I don't care." Julian put down the empty cup with a smile.
"Julian Yale, can you be serious?" Janette complained displeasantly.
"Why am I not serious?" Julian asked, the smile in his eyes made Janette more and more angry!
"You promised me..." Janette was interrupted by Julian before she finished.
"Although your physical condition is much better now, it's not the right time for you to revenge Shane. You're an impetuous person, and you'll die before you officially appear. What's more, he doesn't love you! The saddest thing for a man is that his beloved woman has other men in her eyes," Julian said.
"So what do you mean by that?" Janette said.
"Make me a good breakfast, or I won't tell you a word." Julian had never been serious since he brought Janette to Kingdom. He looked like a hippy.
Janette didn't seem to have too much patience, so she pushed her plate to him, which was finished only a half.
"Eat quickly, then speak."
Julian laughed. It seemed he didn’t care about that. He finished the breakfast quickly which originally belonged to Janette.
"Are you really ready?" Julian asked seriously, which was rare in these days.
"Well, I'm ready!" Janette vowed.
"Then you should start with changing your impatience." Julian said.
Janette rolled her eyes and thought that it was just a joke. However, Julian changed his normal way and said seriously, "you should change your temperament and make him not sure you are you."
Janette was stunned and looked at him. It was rare for Julian Yale to behave seriously, which made her feel uneasy.
"Do you have a complete plan?" Janette asked, but she was more confused.
"Or what?" The slight smiling of Julian seemed to confirm everything.
