CHAPTER 4

"Okay. Be my girlfriend."

What he said echoed in my ears, at the same I was shocked. I did not expect him to say that.

Seriously?

I lifted my head to look at him. 

"What... What did you just say?" I asked him. I want to make sure if what I heard was right. Because I might hear it wrong. 

I hope I heard it wrong. 

He scoffs. "You already heard it. So, deal? Or no deal?"

"Wait. Hold on." I said as I stood up from kneeling on the ground. "What girlfriend are you saying? Are... Are you kidding me?" I scoff, pointing myself. "Me? You're asking me to be your girlfriend? Absolutely not. I don't accept. Never. Okay? No." I said, emphasizing the word no while I am shaking my head. 

Jeez. Who is he to asked me that? 

"You talk too much. You just have to say deal or no deal."

"Well, my answer is no deal." I firmly said. 

"Are you sure about that?"

"Of course!"

"All right." He came closer to me. I was about to step back but it's too late because he holds my waist and pulled me closer to him. 

Goodness! What is he trying to do? 

"Because you chose no deal..." He placed his mouth in front of my ear. "Be ready and say goodbye to your family."

Dugg... 

Dugg... 

Dugg... 

Dugg... 

That is the sound of my heartbeat! 

He moves his body away from me and he gives me a death glare. 

"Go home and spend the last night of your life with your family." He seriously said before he turned his back at me and starts to walk with his bike. 

Oh my god. Is he really serious? 

~ Say goodbye to your family ~ 

Is he really going to kill me?

No. No. I love my life. Even if it is miserable, even if I don't have a dream yet, I want to live my life longer. 

What should I do? 

Oh my god. Should I say deal? 

Ew! But I don't want to be his girlfriend! 

Do you want to die, Chelsie? 

Of course, not. I don't want to die.

"Wait!" I called him causing him to stop walking. 

"Deal."

I slowly open the door and entered inside when I arrived at the house. It's surprising. The house is not noisy right now. Well, perhaps Dad is not home yet. Mum has no one to quarrel with. 

"Hi, Yaya, where is mum?" I asked Yaya Rossy. She is one of our housemaids here. 

"She is already in her room, ijha. Resting." She replied with a modest tone of her voice. 

"Thank you, Yaya."

"Your diner is ready. You should eat now."

"Yes, Yaya. I will eat later. Thank you." I said then I walked upstairs and went to my room. 

As I got inside my room, I immediately throw myself on my bed. Ah, what a tiring day is it even though I did nothing much in school. 

I breathe deeply and close my eyes. 

Just then, that gangster sank in my mind causing me to open my eyes. 

Right! 

I made a deal with him a while ago. 

Oh my god. Did I really said deal!? 

I can't really believe that I am now that Gangster's girlfriend! 

[FLASHBACK] 

"Deal," I said. 

Did I really accept his offer? Oh my! This is a curse! 

He turned his back to face me. A victory smile form on the corner of his lips.

"Good." He replied.

No. It is not good. 

"Since you are my girlfriend now. All you have to do is to do whatever I want to say. Got it?"

Like what?

"Excuse me? I accepted the deal to be your girlfriend, not to be your maid!"

"That is counted."

"Counted?" I scoff. "Well, I am..."

"Shut up! Just do whatever I say!" He yelled, makes me startled. 

"Fine!" I secretly rolled my eyeballs. Ugh! He is annoying! 

"Good," he smirked. 

"But..."

What!?" He creased his forehead. Doesn't he know how to calm? Jeez.

"I have rules."

He raised his left eyebrow. "Rules?"

"Yes. For example, I don't want you to kiss me, hug me, hold my hands, in short, no skinship."

"Tss." He shakes his head. "It depends."

"Depends on what?"

"It depends on my mood."

"What? No. That is my rules and you have to obey them."

"Hey! This is just a game. Don't take it seriously."

"I know. That is why I don't want you to do those things to me." I don't want my first to be a game. My subconscious adds.

"Ok. Accepted. I have my rule too."

Rule? Only one? 

"What is it?"

"Do not fall in love with me." After he said that, he turned his back at me and walks away with his bike. 

I laughed. 

"Gosh, of course. That will never gonna happen. Gosh!"

[END OF FLASHBACK] 

I took a deep breath. 

I am curious. What came into his mind and he thought of doing this thing? 

Could it be... He came from a rich family and his father or grandfather wants him to have a girlfriend to get his part of their wealth? 

Okay. Nonsense. That kind of event is only happens in a movie. We are not in a movie. 

Whatever.

CINDRIX

After I made a deal with that girl, I immediately leave. Stupid. Because I forgot to ask her name. Tch. I should ask her tomorrow then. 

But it's weird. I have been thinking about this all day. Why that girl did not know me? Is she a new student? Or maybe not? If she is not, she must have known me because everyone on the campus knows me —Cidnrix, the gangster. Tch. 

Anyway, why did I asked her to be my fake girlfriend? I only did that so I can slap Sophia with the truth that I have totally moved on from her and I don't care about her anymore. Moreover, for her to stop bothering me.

I park my bike in the garage and I walk to the entrance door of my house when my phone suddenly rings.

It was Kyle who is calling me.

"What now?" I ask as I answer his call.

"Drix, you need to come here right now!" He shouted from the other line. 

"What? Why? Where!?"

"Come back to the campus. We are here in the old gym. Xander and his allies are here. They are looking for you!"

"What!? Ok. I'm coming!" I hang up the call. 

I immediately took my bike again and leave the house and head back to the campus. 

Since I am grounded, I cannot use my car. Tch! Damn! That old man!

When I arrived at the campus, I hide my bike in the mango tree beside the campus gate. Then I carefully walked towards the gate.

My problem right now is how should I enter the gate. It is 8 PM, and the guard might still awake. Tch.

Think of another way, Cindrix!

All of a sudden, my phone rings. Dammit! 

I quickly took my phone inside my pocket and answer the call. 

"Where are you!? Hurry!" Kyle's voice on the other line.

"I'm coming," I said in whispered and hang up the call. Tch.

No choice. I need to climb the wall. It's a good thing, there is a tree next to the wall so it will not be difficult for me to climb on the wall. I slowly and carefully climb the tree, trying not to make noise so the guard won't notice me. When I reached the upper branch of the tree near the wall, I stretched my right leg to reach the top of the wall and when I reached it, I transfer myself to the top of the wall and I jump to enter the campus.

Yess! Successful!

Now, I have to go to the old gym. 

I take a step to run when... 

*ccrrraaaaccckkkk*

Dammit! I step on a can. 

"Who is that!?" It was the guard's voice. 

Shit! 

What the hell can! Why were you on my way?  Tch. 

I quickly hide in the thick round shape plants.

Then I heard the guard's footsteps coming in my direction, and the flash of the light from the flashlight he was carrying is wandering around in the plants' direction. 

Shit! 

Go away, you old man. You cannot see me. Because if he did, surely he will die! 

"Meow! Meow!" I produced a sound of a cat when I feel that he is near. Damn! 

"Ah, it was just a cat then. Tch. Tch." He murmured.

Yes! I am a cat so go away, you old man. You are interfering with my business! Tch.

When he leaves my direction and goes back to the guardhouse, I quickly ran away and directly head to the old gym. 

"Oh! Finally, your great leader has arrived!" Xander said while laughing when I enter the gym. 

Fucking devil!

My allies walk towards me.

"How are you, Cindrix? Long time no see."

I did not respond, I just stared at him, sharply.

Well, yeah, it is been a long time since we saw each other. The last time we saw each other is when he stole Sophia from me.

Anyway, it is in the past. 

"What brings you here?" I asked them seriously.

They are quite many compared to us. Actually, we are composed of fifteen members, but because of our frequent fight against YGang back then, my other allies died. But I will never let that happen again. I will not let him killed my allies again. 

"I am here to check on you. You are still alive." He smiled in sarcasm. 

I sarcastic smile also grew on my lips. "Have you forgotten? Bad weeds do not just die."

"Oh yeah? Ok. Let's just say they do not just die. But do you know that I can finish their life if I want to?"

I scoff. "Really? Well, dare to try. I am saying that that won't gonna happen. If anyone should die here, it's you... Xander." I give him a death glare.

He laughs like a devil. "Really? Let us see then."

He throws away all the knives he had and his gun.

If this is what you want, Xander. I will give it to you.

I give my companions a signal to step back and they followed me. Xander did the same to his companions. Tonight, this fight is just between me and Xander.

So that is why my palms are itching because someone has prepared for me.

He walked in my direction. "I know you are still angry because I killed some of your allies back then and Sophia chose me. But you know, that is really how life is Cindrix. If it wasn't for you, it would not be for you."

I also walked in his direction. "I don't care about you and Sophia. Love each other for as long as you want. All I want now is to kill you." I said, emphasizing the word kill. 

"Let's see who will die first tonight then. But I know it would be you."

He is full of confidence, huh.

He throws a punch at me but I immediately avoided it, and I take that chance to punch him and my fist hit the right side of his face.

Damn! I miss punching him.

He rushed at me after I punched him and I was hit in the left side of my face. Whoa! That was pretty hard, huh!

"You bastard, I will kill you." We both said in the chorus and we continue to beat each other.

I could feel the blood dripping down my cheek from the right side of my eyebrow. But of course, I also made his face bloody. And now that I got a chance to ride him, I punch him in his face.

"I will f*****g kill you!" I said while punching him. 

"You cannot kill me, you bastard!"

This time he got the chance to made me lie down on the floor and he was the one now riding over me, punching me. 

"Because tonight, you are the one who will die!"

He suddenly pointed a gun at me. 

Fuck!

"You f*****g bastard!" I roughly uttered. 

He laughed. "Do you think you can fool me?"

Shit!

I looked at my allies and I noticed that they are behaving strangely. s**t. Do not interfere. 

"What now, Cindrix?" Xander spoke.  I looked at him. He pointed the gun on my forehead. "Are you ready to die?"

"You fucking...." I was not able to continue my sentence because a gun suddenly fire. 

"Ah!" It was Xander who yelled roughly. He was being shot on his left arm causing him to drop the gun. 

Just then, Kyle came in my direction. He pushed Xander. And drag me to stand up. "Drix, come on. Let's go!" Kyle drag me away before Xander's allies could move.

Shit! Why are we running? s**t! I don't want to look like a coward. 

Until we reach our Secret Hang Out.

"f**k! Why did you do that?! Didn't I tell you to not interfere!?" I yelled out at them. 

"Sorry, Drix. We don't have a choice. The guard suddenly came so we have to do that." Kyle said.

"What!? Dammit!" I was about to run out when...

*BAAAANNNNGGGGG*

Shit.

He is dead.
