THE TRAIN CONTINUED its journey soon after the appearance of the skylights had caused such a distraction. Railway employees walked past the carriages shouting for everyone to get back on board. Lana followed Viki back to their cabins. While the train clanked back into motion, they could still see the shimmering green light in the sky.
“Have you ever seen that before?” she asked him before going back into her cabin.
“I haven’t. I’ve heard people talking about it, but no one said it was this bad.”
