HUNTER’S POV. We all gathered at the table waiting for the meeting. Our father, the Alpha, had informed us earlier that he had an important announcement to make today. When he strolled into the room, his walking cane resounded loudly with each step, he looked visibly pleased with himself which was a rare sight. We all stood up, bowing to him respectfully as he entered. “Hunter, change your seat with Leo,” he commanded once we had greeted him. I exchanged a puzzled glance with Leo. I had always sat at the right hand side of my father’s table, a tradition and custom reserved for the firstborn. I could not fathom why my father would want to change it now. “But I have always sat here,” I protested. My father narrowed his eyes on me. “I know, but today I want Leo to sit by me,” he declared
