Lisa’s POV
The door to my room creaked open, and out of fear, I thought it was Alpha Nathan coming in, but I was relieved when I realized it wasn’t him—it was Maria.
“Maria, you’re here,” I said in a relieved tone as I got down from the bed. Maria shut the door and moved closer to me.
“What are you doing here, Maria? Does Alpha Nathan know you’re here?” I asked in a worried tone, glancing toward the door as if expecting him to storm in any second. I didn’t want her getting into trouble because of me.
