Chapter 17Back at the base, the small sick bay was temporarily crowded as the doctor organised another transfusion for Nathan, set his wrist, and dealt with Phil’s bullet wound. Despite his injury, Phil insisted on leaving sick bay, declaring himself fine in Armand’s care. Since Nathan had to stay in the sick bay for a few hours, Frank stayed with him. Undeterred by the small size of Nathan’s cot, Frank sidled in alongside his lover. Exhaustion meant they both fell asleep quickly.
