Chapter 8

Erick pov.

I could feel all the emotion coming from my mate. I knew she was upset reading those letters. I tried to sooth her by putting my hand on her shoulder. I wish I could just hold her, to let her know I was here for her. But I was driving and I wanted to get to the castle so she would know I wasn't pranking her. When we finally got to the castle she looked up and her mouth fell open. I couldn't help but smile and chuckle

"Do you believe me now?" she didn't say anything at all. I reached for her hand and walked her down the path. The gardens stopped doing what they were doing, looked up and bowed their heads to us.

"Why are they doing that"?

"They do that out of respect for me. They do not have to bow. They do that on their own. They are the gardens. And they stay around the castle, they have their own home. Come on, let's go inside." We walked up the steps toward the doors. When I opened them she gasped. I thought something was wrong.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?"

"no…No.. There is nothing wrong at all. It's beautiful. You have a beautiful home, my king." I looked at her like she had gone crazy.

"honey. I'm not your king. I am your mate. Making you the Queen."

"Hmm. Are you sure you want me to be your mate and queen? I'm not from here. I don't know how to act royalty."

"That's okay. Half the time I don't either. I'm just a regular person, Mollie. That's all. I hate wearing crowns. So half the time I don't wear one. They are too heavy for my head. This time she giggled. And it sounded just like music to my ears. Come on, let me show you around. This is the hallway, well we call it the living room since it has chairs and couches and a few throw rugs that match the furniture, with a large marble coffee table. We walked in another large hallway. I had swords with their shields on the walls. With the swords criss crossing each other. We took a few more steps. I opened the door and walked into my office. I had her sit in my lap as I cut on the computer.

"I'll show you the many kings before me that rule in this castle. My fathers father's father. Before them. It's a long list. But I think you get what I'm saying.before me many ruled." I watched her nod as she looked at the many names and photos that were on the computer.

"So are you the last one? Or do you have any children that will rule after you?

"I am the last one until we have pups. And then when I finally step down. Then they will rule. You see there are many kings. Each rule in their own town. Like Mississippi. There must be a king that rules there. And if not. Then the most powerful wolf is."

"My father was the most powerful until that son of a b***h sneaked attacked us. And destroyed everything that I had ever known. Do you think he will come here looking for me?"

."I don't know. But if he does honey we will be waiting for him. And he will not lay a had on you. I promise."

When my beta let me hear the link about rejecting me and the pack I knew he was full of s**t. He had to cover his tracks and he had to find my breeder. Once he does, he will bring her back. But I felt it when he died. I don't know how. But they killed him. I had enough of this bull s**t I went to the orphanage I knew who to talk to. She was sitting in her chair like she had been waiting for me this entire time. I jerked her up from her chair and demanded she tell me where she was. I even threatened to kill her if she didn't tell me. She spat in my face. Smirking

"you will never find her ass hole. She is hidden away so you will never find her."

"Oh yeah I know she is in Bluefield, West Virginia. And I know my beta went there and they killed him. So I'll start looking there, I'll leave today with half my pack, we will find her in no time at all. And then we will bring her back here so I can do what I want with her.." Her eyes clouded over. I knew what she was going to do. She was going to link someone. I grabbed her and broke her neck before she could get any link out to anyone. Let's just hope she didn't get too much out.

Tally Mollie protected pov.

I was sitting there trying to get work done. I was going to sell this place since all the kids were gone and Mollie was safe someplace else. I had a bidder and I was about to write them back letting them know I'll take the offer when someone walked into my office I knew who it was. It was Alpha Nile. The cruelest meanest alpha that was here. He had destroyed most of the packs around here because he wanted to be powerful. He walked right into my office and demanded to know we're Mollie was. He doesn't even know her name. So it will be pretty hard to look for her without a name. But it surprised the hell out of me when he knew where she was at. I hurried to link a few guards telling them to head there and tell her he is on his way. He grabbed my neck to try and break it. But he did it the wrong way. He only cracked my neck and that s**t hurt like crazy. I bit my tongue enough for it to bleed just a little, so he would think I was dead. I watched as he hurried out. I waited for at least thirty minutes to make sure he did not come back. I linked the guards telling them to get the jet ready. We are leaving now. I hurried to the airport to we're the jet was. I walked inside and sat down to drink some whisky, the goddess knew I needed it. I buckled up when the jet took off. We would be there in no time at all. I needed to get to her as fast as I could. I just hope I get there on time. I needed to tell her everything. I needed to tell her about Nile. Everything just went to hell and a hand basket because he figured out she was still alive, and now we need to get there so she can get prepared.

Mollie pov

When we were done in his office. He started showing me around. He showed me the huge kitchen he says he never cooks but the cook's do. Well I'll just have to show him differently then. I'll teach him to cook. It's not so hard. This place had three stoves and a huge white marble breakfast bar. With a large vase with sunflowers inside some water. Three refrigerators. With a few deep freezers. We walked further and he showed me the dining hall. I loved it. It looked like a restaurant with round tables and chairs in photos on the walls. With light blue table cloths on the tables. It looked really nice. He showed me three indoor swimming pools. The large game room so when the kids came to visit they could play in the game room. The room at pool tables, pinball machines and several other games. He showed me the library that went on forever with so many books and scrolls, he showed me the many bedrooms, he even showed me where his parents stayed before they passed away. He showed me were the throne room was at as well. It had a very large black marble table in the middle of the room. He told me when the alphas came for a meeting they would sit there. There were two thrones he said it was for me and him to sit on. They looked really uncomfortable. He told me it is. Sometimes he has a soft pillow for his back. He hates to sit on those chairs. But he has to every now and then. He showed me the backyard where fruit trees of many kinds were planted. He even had flower gardens and veggie gardens. He even had a horse ranch. I didn't know how to ride. And he said he would show me and teach me. There was so much to see. And I had plenty of time. When it was time to head back inside. I really didn't want to. I wanted to say out here and watch the horse run. My favorite one was the white and brown horse. She was beautiful. I couldn't help but walk down the steps toward her.

*be careful honey, she has not been broken yet. We just found her a month a go hurt." I was careful walking up to her. I put my hand out don't could pet her head. But something told me to let her come to me. She raised her head up and I saw her beautiful brown eyes. She looked worried. "Easy girl. I would never hurt you. You're very beautiful. Who ever tried to hurt you before. Is nothing by a jackass." When I was done letting her she looked up at me and ran off to go for a run I guess.

"That's very surprising, she had not let anyone near her until today. You are one special person Mollie."

"it's not that. I just love animals. I feel that I can understand them sometimes. I would love to try and ride her one day. But only when she is ready. I wonder if she has any family. If she does. They have to be missing her."

"We had looked for her family. They had probably run off when she got trapped. Sometimes it happens if she is the leader. She would have told them to run. In a few days. We will go out and look again. And bring them back here to her. I think she would be a lot happier. Some horses are not meant to be tamed. And if she's not then I won't force it on her."

"I think it's a good idea. She's beautiful and sweet to look at. But I don't think she is meant to be tamed."

"Come on, let me show you our room. I didn't know what you might have liked, so we'll go shopping in a few days. So you can get what you need." I looked at him like he had gone insane.

"I have everything I need at the house. We can go there and get it. I'm not letting you send tons of money when you don't have to. Besides, My parents left me a bank account. I need to check out so when we are out we can go there." he chuckled and nodded.

"Alright, we can do that. I just thought you would like some nice things. Including a dress for the party next week."

"I have a dress. And the things included. Are you trying to buy me?"

"what? No, I'm not trying to buy you. That's what mates do when they buy their mates new things." I nodded and shook my head.

"I'm not a gold digger."

"Well I'm glad you're not. That's a good thing. Because if you were. Then it would have been a big problem. I don't like women like that. Come on, let's go back to my office. I need you to read something. We took the short way back by taking the elevator. When we got back to his office he pulled out some paperwork.

This is for the elders letting them know I had found my mate. Just sign and ill send it to them." I didn't know what an elder was. But I looked over the papers and I wasn't stupid. I wasn't signing anything until I read it. The last part stated if we decided not to be together after three years then we will part. I shrugged and said that's fine by me. I signed it and handed it back to him. He put it in the file to be sent off by mail. We walked out and he asked me.

"So what would you like to have for dinner? I'm sure you're hungry."

Erick pov

I knew she knew this was a contract that she signed. And it made it official when she did sign it. In three years if we decide not to be together we will part. She was fine with it. And so was I. I was used to doing what I wanted and when I wanted. I wasn't about to let so some tell me differently, not even my mate. She signed the other paperwork that I was going to send to the elders. I asked her if she was hungry

She nodded. And said

"how about pizza. I know how to make it and it won't take long. I wasn't expecting her to say that. I really thought she would say she wanted to go out to eat. So why not let's get the stuff out to make it. We went back to the kitchen and she got the things out. And she was right. It didn't take long at all. And let me tell you something. It's nothing like a homemade pizza. It sure was good m, she put all kinds of stuff on top of it. And we are every bit of it too. I think I got a good woman. Let's see how long she will last here. A Lot can happen in three years. And I hope nothing bad happens but we will see it directly.

Trina pov.

I was on the training ground when everyone said that the king was back

But he had someone with him. That he had found his mate. What the actual f**k. Are you kidding me, just three days ago we made out in his office. And he found his mate hell to the no. I will fix this one way or another. I will not let some woman walk into this castle destroying everything that I worked on these few years. That's the crown I wanted. And I will get. and snorted at her.

"yeah you can, you can get your hands off my f*****g man or I'll break your arms." she took her hand away form Erick and looked me right in the eyes. I was thinking oh s**t I think I just f****d up. But we will see.

"Oh really, he's your man? I think you got it all wrong sweetheart. We are mates. So whatever y'all did in the past. Is long gone now. You need to run along and go play. I'm sure you can find some unlucky wolf to play with.

I looked at her like she had gone crazy. I made my mind up right there and then I was going to test this b***h. If she was the king's mate she better know how to kick ass and not take s**t from anyone. I will not allow anyone to walk into this house and take over if they are weak. The King does not need that s**t. I smirked and chuckled at her. I saw Erick step away just a little bit. He knew I could f**k up someone but he also let out a small growl warning me. I didn't care..

"Sweetheart. I hate to inform you. But you are now where the big girls are. We are not in some little kids playground. Erick.sweet heart. Let this b***h know….before I could get another word out. I got punched right in the mouth. I fell on the ground hard. Blood was pouring out of my mouth from her hitting me. I wanted to laugh but I didn't. I wanted to see what else she could do. I move my leg so I could knock her down where I was at. But she moved and kicked me right in the head. I saw black and spots right away. Holy f**k no one has ever done that to me before. I hurried to get up. I did a roundhouse kick but she caught my leg in mid kick. I nodded. I knew she was a bad ass b***h if she could stop someone roundhouse kicking her. I snatched my leg away, almost falling over.

"Girl, your one bad b***h if you can stop a roundhouse kick, how did you know?"

"Easy. Don't move your right leg before you do. It's easy to see. I'll teach you how later on. But if you touch my man ever again. If you ever call him sweetheart or baby. Or any other name. I do not like. I will f**k your whole life up in two seconds, he's mine he's my mate. So back the f**k up."

Damn who was this girl. I felt an alpha aura from her. I kneeled bowing to her. I didn't want to do that. But something about her made me. Erick told me to rise, so I did.

"I hmm. I'm going to go and do a few things. It's great to know you have found your mate Erick. Now the elders will probably leave you alone."

I nodded at her and didn't even ask her her name. I really didn't care at the moment. I just wanted to get out of there, I ran to my room, took a shower, dried off and got dressed. I laid in my bed thinking to myself. I need to get rid of that b***h. I don't want her here and I don't want her to have Erick. I'm done playing nice. Where the hell did this b***h come from? Who was she before she came here? Who or what is she running from? I will find out soon enough.

Ryan pov.

It's been a few weeks since Mollie had been gone, I have had my fun but it's time for her to come home. I hired a private investigator and he had tracked her down in Bluefield, West Virginia. Now what made her go all the way there? Sighing I packed a bag and got into my car. I had to get something to get to work since she took the motorcycle and traded it in. s**t it was a Harley Davidson why would you trade that in for something else. I was going to drive. I was scared to death of flying, so I was going to drive. It will take a few days to get there, four tanks of gas and lots of stops for food and drinks but I will get there. I was ready to have her back in my life. Unless I find someone else on the way. I can have some fun on the way up there right. She won't even know it's not like she is here with me. She is the one that left me not the other way around. We could have been a good tag team for these bitches. She could find me the girls and I could have fun with them. Come on, look at me.
