Lyraeus’ POV:
The morning sun cast a golden hue over the castle grounds as I stood outside with Ryker and the Elder Thorne, Oakley and Ravenwood. The event of that morning had left this tension between Ravenwood and us.
He didn’t feel like he could stay with us anymore so he walked out. Ryker just stared at him like he really had something he was hiding. My suspicion towards Ravenwood grew more after his display in the morning, even though he had no hand in Aria’s disappearance.
The air was thick with the scent of dew and the lingering tension of unresolved questions. As I began to walk away from the group, deep in thought, Ryker caught up with me, his expression determined.
