Chapter Eleven“Come on, Dan, show a bit of enthusiasm,” said Dad. He frowned, studying his son with more concern than usual. “Are you all right? You look like you've seen a ghost.” “I'm fine,” said Daniel, forcing out the words. His throat screamed for a drink and when he spotted the drinks' cabinet, he shrugged himself from Dad's grip and went over to pour himself a glass of water. He could sense the others staring, waiting, but he took his time, not sure what to do. Images of Maria danced around in front of his eyes.
