Chapter 15: Horace “Nico?” “Yeah?” Horace leaned on the boxes in the storage area. “I want the manager’s position.” Nico smiled at that and carried boxes over, cataloguing. “There is no manager’s position.” “Exactly. Make one and give it to me.” The man stretched his back and stared at him for a moment, mulling it over. He then shook his head and Horace could see the rejection coming his way. So he interrupted. “How are the kids?” “Oh, all grown up now. We’re very good, thank you for asking.” “Wouldn’t they enjoy a summer holiday with their dad, for once?” Horace knew where to push. “Uh, I guess.
