ADONIS’s POV
The moment her body came in contact with mine, I felt like snapping her head in one. How dare her even think she is lucky enough to breath the same air that I breathe?
I think I have been too lenient with her and the people around her for them to think it is okay for her to pull a staunt such as this.
Even Charlotte who was standing beside me had a bizzare look on her face, how dare they!
“I didn’t know you were going to make it to my ball” the ecstatic lady said as she disengaged from me, “I am glad you could make it, Adonis”
“What gave you the right to touch me?” I hissed in anger, “I have warned..,.”
“I was just happy to see you here” she responded with a pout before turning her attention towards charlotte and a look of jealousy passed through her face.
“Who…”
“Forgive her for her actions” king George immediately apologized as he walked up to us, “I didn’t have a chance to tell her yet”
“Tell me what?” She demanded.
“I think it is high time you let go of the crush you have on me, i have already found my mate”
Evryone in the ball room had their attention turned on us but I didn’t even care, none of them was alien to the fact that everyone in this room was a werewolf.
“But I am your mate” Estella retorted, “you suddenly bring someone else and you are calling her your mate! I have always wanted to be your mate, Adonis”
“Estella” king George bellowed, “you are embarrassing me”
“But father…”
“I suggest you talk to your daughter, your majesty” I said after a while, “I don’t quite appreciate her choice of words”
“Of course” he replied while grabbing onto her hand, “I will talk to her” with that, he pulled her away while the smirk on my lips intensified before i turned my head towards Charlotte.
“I feel suffocated in here, I will just take a walk outside”
Not bothering to wait for my response, she turned on her heel and sauntered out of the room.
I can feel the awkwardness emanating from the room but none of them had the nerve to even say a word.
With that, i beckoned to a waiter and he handed me a glass of wine.

“Adonis” someone called my name after a while and zeth’s face came into view, he looked rather worried and paranoid, something must have happened.
“Why do you look so stressed?” I asked him, “what has happened?”
“Charlotte” he said almost in a whisper.
“Yes, what happened to her?” I was already uninterested in the conversation since he called her name but I couldn’t refuse to hear it, “tell me”
“We can not find her” he finally dropped the bombshell which made my forehead to crease into a slight frown.
“What?” I wanted to be sure I heard him correctly, what the hell did he mean by that?”
“Victoria was keeping an eye on her and she just left to talk to someone and now Charlotte is no where to be found”
My first thought was that she ran away but she was too scared to even think of that, that was out of the question but if it is the second thing I am thinking of, I was going to make them pay for what they did.
“Come with me” I ordered before making my way towards where king George and his daughter were both seated, the moment my eyes come in contact with Estella’s, I saw the look in her eyes change and my suspicions were confirmed, how dare her?
“Your majesty” i didn’t even bother to bow to him, “i didn’t realize you had the thought of making me angry on this auspicious day for your daughter?”
The old man was taken aback for a while, he sure didn’t understand what I was trying to say.
“What exactly are you saying, Adonis?” He inquired, “are you not enjoying the party?”
“I should be asking your daughter that question” i replied while turning my attention to her, “where is she?”
By now everyone’s attention was now on us and the tension was already starting to get high.
“I don’t understand what you are saying” Estella quickly butt in and the smirk on my face intensified, shs was not going to like what I do next.
“Where is she?” I asked her again, “I will not be asking you again, Estella” by now, I was already getting very angry and I could feel my demon struggling to come out of its cage, how dare she?
“What exactly are you talking about, Adonis?” The king was truly frightened, “tell me and I will have it done immediately”
I turned to zeth and gestured to him, in no time the doors were locked and he and Victoria stood guard while my sharp claws appeared at the tip of my fingers, the whole room was already in turmoil.
“I told you I will only ask for the last time Estella” I hissed in anger before grabbing her by the neck and evryone began to run to safety even if they can not run from the room.
“What are you doing?” King George tried to ask.
“Sit down!!!” I growled and the old man immediately fell on his chair in fear, “I warned your daughter but she still chose to learn the hard way, I will make you suffer for making me to ask for her twice”
“Please…pl…” by now Estella was coughing badly, “let me go, please”
I turned my attention on the guards stationed around,
“Go around and find my mate, if she is as much as hurt even on her hair, I will tear this whole building to the ground”
They all scurried out of the room while my grip on her loosened while she fell to the floor as tears welled up in her eyes.
“You know how badly I love you Adonis but then you bring someone else to my ball as your mate, how do you want me to feel?”
“King George?” I called out to the old man.
“Yes” he answered hastily and shot out of his chair, fear and despair written all over his face.
“Have I been to lenient with you and your family? Your daughter do not seem to understand what shs has done at all” I paused and took two strides towards him, “she had the audacity to kidnap the person I had brought to the ball and she thinks it’s is just something I can brush off?”
“Adonis” the king tried to speak again, “Estella is but a child, “please do not be mad at her, she doesn’t know….”
Just as i opened my mouth to say something, one of the guards rushed up to me and whispered something in my ears, something that annoyed the wolf out of me.
“How dare you Estella?” I grabbed her again, this time my grip was meant to kill her, “how dare yo?”
“Adonis please” the king continued to beg but I didn’t care, holding he firmly, i pulled her out of the room and everyone followed.

By the time we reached outside the room, Charlotte was laying unconsciously on the floor and a fowl smell was emitting from her, something that made even my wolf want to throw up.
“You dare to put her in the outhouse?”
“I am sorry Adonis” Estella immediately went on her knees, “I was just jealous and…”
She was still talking when I wacked her hard across the face and blood oozed out of the cut on her lips.
“Zeth” I immediately called out to him.
“Yes”
“Make sure she spends five days in the outhouse” this time I turned to the king, “If you release her before the five days are over, get ready to forfeit your throne”
With that, I turned on my heel and walked out of the arena, i was too angry to even stay there.
