The Only One For Me

3 | Oh, Hello.

Bracing myself, I knew I was going to hit the ground face first. It felt as if I was in slow motion as I struggle to catch myself. Before I hit the ground, I felt someone grab me from behind and we fall together, me falling on top of this person. My hair was all over the place so I couldn’t see who tried to catch me, only for us to fall together.

I heard people gasping as we fell to the ground. I now know he was a he, because I felt his d*** on my back when I fell on him. Ewww.

It was Drew. Carly’s on again, off again boyfriend. I think right now they aren’t together. Still, feeling his d*** on my back was pretty awkward.

I quickly stood up and was like, “I’m so sorry.”, he asked if I was alright, I looked at him and noticed how cute he was. Embarrassed, I looked away and said I was fine. “Stop it. Don’t even go there, he’s your best friend’s boyfriend or not boyfriend, either way, he’s off limits.”, I thought to myself. He looked at me with a smile and said in a teasing and kind of insinuating way, “No worries, fall on me anytime.”. I felt my face turn red with embarrassment, he stood up and offered his hand to help me up, I took it and he pulled me up, unexpectedly close to his face, I could feel his warm breath on my face as he said, “Take care, Annie.”, he stayed close to my face a moment, our lips almost touching. I couldn’t say anything, I just looked at him, waiting. I don’t know what I was waiting for, for a moment I thought he was going to kiss me. He didn’t, he moved away after a second, let go of my hand and turned to walk away. My heart was in my mouth.

What is it with today and me feeling all these feelings for every guy I see? Like seriously, what the hell? I just want to go home, take a bath and forget all the awkward moments from today.

I gathered my things and I set off in the direction of Odin’s parked van. Still reeling from my encounter with Drew.

No one was there yet, I was the first one. Odin was sitting on the passenger’s side with the seat reclined and his arms under his head. He saw me, so he sat up and looked at me. I set my things down and let go of a deep sigh. He looked over to me and asked, “Long day?”, I just sighed and said, “You have no idea.”, he chuckles softly and says “Ah, the complexities of high school life.”, and smiles to himself. I look at him and catch my breath, that freaking smile is amazing. I quickly looked away before he noticed I was gawking at him and tried to play it as cool as I can. I leaned next to him and breathed in his scent. He smells so amazing. I close my eyes and bask in it, enjoying a peaceful moment with him. I feel so comfortable being with him, even if we aren’t talking, the silence isn’t uncomfortable at all.
