Chapter 7 –
After everyone went to bed Klaus finally came upstairs to his bedroom, when he closed the door and turned her saw his wife sitting in bed waiting for him.
"You still awake ma femme” Niklaus says shocked to see her still up. [my wife]
Zelina pats the spot beside her and says "I was waiting for Mon mari” [My husband]
Niklaus walks up to the bed and sits beside her. he shrugs off his shoes and sighs. "I'm sorry about everything" he apologises. His family could be a lot for outsiders. And it seemed like everything that could go wrong would go wrong now with Zelina as his wife. He had a lot more important things to worry about right now and one of them was keeping Zelina safe.
She smiles sweetly "It’s okay. Did you sort everything out?" Zelina asks
At least one thing went his way today… Niklaus nods "Yes, turns out she got pregnant the natural way with her boyfriend" he explains.
Megan’s plan was to extort money out of the Jacobs family and to run off with the money, unfortunately for her we were never going to give her a cent. It was not how our family did business. We did not pay to make things go away.
" Donc je ne vais pas être une tante?" Zelina teases {So I’m not going to be an aunt?}
Klaus laughs. He shakes his head. "No unfortunately not"
"You've got some explaining to do Mister…" She speaks
Klaus frowns "I do?" he asks
"Yes, you do… How about you tell me a story about how we got married 16 years ago?"
"Oh that" Niklaus shrugs
"Vous feriez mieux d’expliquer Niklaus” She playfully glares at Niklaus {You better explain Niklaus}
"I've loved you since you were six and I was eight... You were that cute blonde girl with pigtails and blue eyes, and fairy wings" he smiles at the memory
"Yeah, I did want to be a fairy at some point. I would have been good at it too." Zelina teases.
"Yeah, you could be a fairy, I would dig you in wings walking in a Victoria Secret outfit, for me to see alone" Klaus smiles at her blushing face.
"How do you find my family?" he asks her
"Hmmm let’s say interesting" Zelina smiles brightly
Klaus laughs "Not crazy?"
"It’s a whole lot better than nothing" she shrugs
Klaus moves closer to her and hugs her "I'm sorry Zee I really am" Klaus knew exactly what went down with her family in New York when he found her again he wasn’t going to risk them finding her so he asked her to marry him, he knew her family was in LA it was only a matter of time before they found her.
"It’s okay..." she shrugs but places her arms around Niklaus taking in his scent, she loved how manly he smelled. He smelt so fresh, it smelt like musk and a woodsy smell combined.
"Ma chérie... I need to talk to about what we spoke about in the restaurant before your phone rang?" Niklaus holds her tighter to him {My sweetheart}
"Okay?"
He pulls away from Zelina so he could see her face. "I'm not hiding our marriage because I don't want to be with you or because I have girls outside... I am doing it because I have a company to take care of and with that comes death threats and I need to keep you safe; you see what happened tonight with Raven, someone paid Megan to say she is pregnant with his kid so there's scandals with our family. I want to protect you and your reputation." He explains
"I understand. I know you would never hurt me. After all we've been married for 16 years" Zelina shrugs smiling. She did not know why but she trusts Niklaus.
Niklaus laughs. "How did you remember?"
"Emma told me. And by the way I ate our wedding ring, so I'll need a new one" she jokes.
"Sure... I will get you a new one, probably best if it’s not edible that way you can't eat it" he teases her
Zelina laughs. She playfully punches him. "That's a good idea... I have a request though"
"Okay?" Niklaus smiles. He would give her the world if she asked for it.
"I want women to know you married I can't have you stolen from me when the models from the company starts talking to you." Zelina looks at Niklaus seriously.
He waited for her to laugh when he realized she was dead serious. He sighed. He would do that for her. he nods "Okay. But I do not deal with models and my company does not deal with the entertainment industry... That is my aunt Kita's company..." he clarifies that he does not work with models. He knew how jealous Zelina could get.
"What does your company do?" she asks
"Well in short we in the real estate, construction, restaurants, tech and basically anything that could make a profit... it’s mostly investments" he tells her
"And Alexis, Jewellery, clothes, perfume and architecture?" she asks
"Yes, that's how my mom and dad met they went into a collaboration between the two companies my dad would use my mom’s company’s architectural designers but after Alexis and I took over we ended up being competitive and ended up ending the collaboration between the two companies’"
"I see... Why does your mom and dad live in London?" she asks
"Well, my mom loves to design so my dad gave up his position in the company and told my mom to do the same, so my mom is a full-time designer now." He tells her
He saw the worry on his wife’s face and said with a smile "Don't worry they will love you... "
"I hope so... I am enjoying the good-Life" she jokes.
"It’s all yours Ma cheri…" he smiles. {My sweetheart}
Zelina is deep in thought for a few minutes before she asks, "How did you find me?" she asks him
"Actually, I found you a couple a years ago, but it wasn't the right time. I just took over the company and I had to handle all the family drama as you can see it’s a hot mess" he tells her a half truth. It was not safe to bring her to LA back then, he needed her to come here on her own.
"How’s your sister now?" she asks him
"Which one?" he frowns
"Zarah?"
"She'll be fine in the morning I'm sending her to London for my dad to handle I have already spoken to him. Raven has to go Back to DC in the morning he's taking Taylor his sister with him and then it’s Just Emma and Alexis around"
"Oh okay..." she nods.
"Come get into bed I'm going to shower and then join you, okay?"
Zelina nods... Niklaus gets up goes into the bathroom, while Zelina sits in bed thinking about their conversation, she has a feeling he wanted to say something, but he was keeping back. Then she thinks about him coming to bed, will he expect them to do something tonight? Zelina's face turns as red as a tomato...
When Niklaus returns from the bathroom with only a towel around his waist and a hand towel in his hand drying his hair he was looking down so he could not see her face... Zelina’s eyes open widely she did not know he actually looked that good without a top on. Zelina started turning redder than a tomato. When Klaus looked up, he saw her red face he was not what was wrong with her. Then he followed her line of sight when he saw she was checking him out he felt a sense of accomplishment, he thought about calling her out for it but decided to let it slide but he smiled. And when into the closet to get something to wear. When he came out of the closet, he was only wearing a pair of boxers on. Went into the bathroom hanged up his towels then came back to bed. His little wife was pretending to sleep, pulling her entire body stiff... He got under the covers and then pulled her into his embrace.
He smiled at her stiff body, he then whispered in her ear. "You can relax your body I won't force you to do anything you not ready to do"
Her entire body relaxed after that they gradually fell asleep together, in each other’s arms...
