I woke up from the most peaceful sleep I have had in weeks, there were no dreams or nightmares, just pure blissful sleep. I wondered why I had slept so well last night? Wait, what happened last night?
It all came flooding back. Drayce was here, we were talking about how to set my beast free, he said some stuff about my family and… oh goddess, wait, I mean gods. I had completely fallen apart… yet again.
This time Drayce had pulled me into his arms. I tried to fight it, but I felt safe in his huge arms and I couldn’t help but let myself relax into his embrace.
He pulled me down into his lap, just as Dana had. I felt like a child curled up in their parent’s lap, not that I knew what that felt like, but I assumed it was like that, it was warm and comforting.
