DRAYCE POV
I didn’t understand what was happening. One minute Kaida was talking about having this amazing unique beast lying somewhere dormant inside her and the next minute she was a sobbing mess on the floor in Dana’s arms.
Every fibre of my being was screaming at me to go and comfort my fated, but I didn’t know if she would let me. I stood and walked closer, hoping that, if nothing else, my scent might offer her comfort.
Dana looked up and I could see she too had tears in her eyes but she offered me a small smile when she realised what I was trying to do. She patted the floor beside her and I carefully sat down, not getting too close.
