Ethan and Fiona watched Brittany with wide eyes. Not knowing what to do, they just paused exactly where they were, and waited to see what she was going to do.
Ethan couldn't believe that he had been caught. He didn't even know why he had kissed Fiona. Seeing her in shock and so shaken up by fear felt like his heart was being ripped out, so he had to do something to calm her down and let her know that he was there for her.
If only she hadn't avoided him all day, then nothing like that would have happened.
He was too into the kiss that he didn't hear any footsteps approaching till she was right there. He hadn't even noticed her following him because he was too focused on finding Fiona.
He didn't know what to do.
