I played the role of his wife.
I pretended to be his lover.
Just to atone for my twin sister's wrongdoings.
I should keep my distance from him.
But I can't seem to stop loving Him since the beginning.

Adam receives a phone call on a sunny Sunday morning.
"Oh sweetheart, are you on your way home?" I asked excitedly over the phone.
"Not yet, sweetheart, I'm in the middle of our mission, but as soon as this mission finishes, I'll go home right away," sagot niya sa kabilang linya dahilan upang kumabog ng husto ang aking puso.
In my rage, I slammed my fist into the table.
"Damn! You're in the middle of your mission and you have the guts to make a call? Mirana, I can't stand it any longer that every time you're on your mission, I can't stop myself from getting worried; I think it's better for us, for you, if you quit your agency. I am worried about you, especially now that you're in the middle of your task," I exclaimed, and she appeared stunned by the other line.
"Calm down, sweetheart; I miss you, which is why I called; wait, why do you want me to quit this job when you're not even quitting your job?"
"Mirana sweetheart, I want us to live a normal life; after we get married, we'll just start our own business," kalmado kong sagot kahit na para na akong sasabog anumang oras.
"Oh that's great sweetheart, we'll have our w-wait, did I hear you correctly? After we get married?" Nagkandautal-utal niyang saad.
"Yes, is it too early? Don't you want to marry me?" alanganin kong tanong na pati ako ay parang nahahawa na sa kaniya.
She remained silent.
"Are you still there, Mirana?"
"Y-yes, sweetheart," she said nervously, "I'm here, and of course, I want to m-marry you. What gives me the impression that something bad is about to happen?"
Pasimple akong nakahinga ng maluwag.
"I love you Mirana, I truly love you."
"Ada-"
A loud bang cut her off, followed by several gunshots.
Hearing those on the second line made me anxious. My world has come to a halt, and I am unable to form a single word.
"Mirana! Mirana! What's going on out there? Is everything okay out there?"
The line was then disrupted.
"Mirana! Mirana! Mirana!"
