Rae had told me to be completely honest with the Council about who I was and what had happened to me. I worried about the repercussions, but because I was a minor and did not know my history or the Laws of the shifter community, they were lenient.
I couldn’t leave the pack if they accepted me without prior consent and had to inform them of my whereabouts should I choose not to stay. Other than that, they left seemingly happy that my situation was a product of unfortunate circumstances.
It was a relief, because, of course, I had known about the Council for a long time, and as an adult, was not completely naïve to the way the shifter world worked. Not only that, but I had a major role in the attack on Coldfell.
