Jude’s POV
I woke with a start. I heard Mattie talking to someone and made my way downstairs to the kitchen where I heard the voices. Mattie and Mylee were both standing in the kitchen, looking startled, but Mylee was not in a good way.
“What happened?” I said, making them both whip their heads towards me.
“We need to go; I’ll explain on the way,” Mattie said, throwing me a hoodie.
We got into the truck and sped towards the border where we met with Mykah. The car we were expecting hurtled towards us and stopped with a jolt as they saw us. Abe jumped out with another man.
“Where is he?” Mykah cried, looking between the two men.
“In the boot….” Abe said apprehensively.
