Seeing Mattie with his mate and marked made me happier than I cared to admit. My journey was not a simple one, but I loved Mattie, and I was thrilled he finally had someone to share his passion and his life with. Especially after always assuming he would never have it.
Finding out Jude was alive was a bit of a shock, but I knew we had time for explanations later. For now, we had things to do so Mykah and I could leave. We both wanted to be gone before the Alpha arrived, and Abe was happy to take control of the pack with Robbie until he arrived.
Mykah and I showed Mattie and Jude to the lounge where Abe and Kimmi were waiting for us. The tension in the air was thick but seemed reasonably amicable. No one looked ready to burst like a volcano at the situation.
