Chapter 7

LUCA P.O.V

When I arrived at my place, I saw a lot of cars and imagined what is happening inside. I went inside and heard people shout happy birthday, Luca.

I looked around and saw my mom, my dad, my younger brother Dan, my friends Ross, Adam, and Bruce, and some people that I am familiar with. Some people wish me a happy birthday and I said thanks to them.

I move closer to my parents and they also wish me and told me to go and get dressed, my younger brother Dan lead me to my bedroom because he knows I won't.

"Mom dad, you should not have bothered yourself about all this" They know that I don't celebrate my birthday.

"Now that I have bothered myself about all this, can you at least put on a smile to appreciate my efforts?" My mum said and I hug her.

"Thanks mom," I said to her.

I should have known this is what they are planning when my secretary called me that there is an important issue I need to attend to at work. I intentionally traveled just to escape this birthday s**t because my family always pressures me to celebrate and be myself like before.

Three days to my birthday is the day I will never forget in my life, the day I heard the worst news ever, the day I lost the most precious thing in my life, the day I know the meaning of betrayal, that is the day I never trusted anybody again.

The party started and I put on a smile as my mom said, but to be sincere it is a fake smile.

After greeting everybody with my fake smile, I escaped with my friends to the third floor of my mansion, nobody goes there except I permit them or my maid wants to clean there. This is the place I always stay whenever I want to be alone and don't want any noise or anything disturbing me. If I am here nobody comes here to look for me. It is like my 'Do not disturb' area.

"It's been a long time buddy," Ross said, he is the Casanova among us, different girls every night.

"I am sure if not for the trick your mom did you will not celebrate this year also," Adam said the gentle guy among us

"Please forget about the past and move one" Bruce the popular playboy, goes for anything, I repeat anything under the skirt.

"Are you guys taking turns to talk about me?" I ask them and they smile "I know it has been a long time but I just need some space that is why," I said to them

"Space? You also need space from us your friends too?" Bruce said "I know you did not trust any of us again after what happened but that is not the end of life, you have to move on even if you don't want to see us" Yeah it is true that I did not trust them again after what Ryder has done to me.

Ryder is also one of us and also my closest and best friend among them, the five of us always hang out together and also spend the weekend going to clubs. If anything happens to me, he is the one I will first inform before any of them.

"Not like that Bruce" I don't know what to say to them.

"Then like how?" Ross asked me.

"I am sorry guys," I said to them

They talk to me and also advise me to move on and forget about the past, I asked about how they are doing and their family. We also talk about business and other stuff.

I heard a knock on the door and I wonder who would that be. I said come in until my maid came into my view.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her

"Sir, your mother is looking for you," She said looking around

"Tell her I am coming, pack these empty bottles now, and clean all this place after we finish," I told her.

I saw how Bruce lick his lips when he saw Laura coming inside, as she bend down to pack all the bottles, he grabs Laura's butt and smiles at her.

"Sir that is not polite sir," She said to her

Bruce told her to name her price but she ignored him, I sit there looking at what they are doing. This is not new to me, he has f****d almost all the maids working with me in my former house before I came here. I don't know how they do it but he will later inform me, he has also f****d my secretary at work.

The sound of broken bottles makes me look up and see that Bruce has caged her between himself and the wall.

"P…..p……lease sir let me go" She stutters and looks at me.

I think she is feeling the heat from my friend, why is she looking at me? Asking for permission or what? She is free she can do anything she likes.

She came to me and told me to tell my friend to let him go, I don't know what came over me that made me do what I did next.

I take my wallet and give her money to allow my friend to f**k her.

I lean closer to her and told her "Stop pretending, this is an opportunity for you" What she did next shocked me.

She raised her hand up and slap me, I feel stunned and shocked at the same time. This stupid maid dares to raise her hand up to slap me. I want to raise my hand up to hit her but I saw my mom and Mary standing by the door.

Laura walks out and my mom move closer to me and slapped me the second time.

"I am ashamed of you," She said and walks away. Mary looks at me and shakes her head at me.

My friends look at me and ask me how am I? I told them I am good but Laura is already dead the moment she slapped me.

My mom also slapped me because of this useless, good-for-nothing peasant. Laura, you are finished.

After the end of the party, my mom went home without saying goodbye or any words to me. Mary also did not talk to me and she is my second mom all because of this i***t maid.

When everybody left, I enter the bathroom to take shower and also think about what I will do to this i***t made. First, I will go and apologize to my mom and then deal with her.

The next day I made my way to my parents' house, when I get there one of their maids open the door for me.

"Good morning sir," She greets me.

"Where is my mom?" I asked her

"She is inside the kitchen" I made my way to the kitchen immediately after she said that.

I saw my mom in the kitchen cooking with other workers helping her but she has not yet noticed me. One of them saw me and gasped loudly before my mom saw me. It is not her fault it has been almost a year that I step my foot into this house.

"Good morning sir" They all greet me but I ignored them

"Good morning mom" I greet my mom but she did not answer me and ignore me as if I am not there.

"Mom, I am greeting you. I know you are angry about yesterday I am sorry" I told her but she did not look at my side at all.

I move closer to her and hug her from behind "Mom, please answer me" I said to her

"How did you feel when you greet me and I did not answer you" She turns around and asked me.

"I feel sad and hurt," I said to her.

"That is the same way Lucy, Rose, and all others feel when you decide not to reply to their greeting" I feel embarrassed because she said it in from of the maid. Lucy and Rose are the maids helping her in the kitchen.

"Mom!"

"Don't mom me, if you want me to reply you, then you have to greet them and not only here, any other person that greets you as from now you will reply their greetings," She said

She waits until I greet the maids and they reply to me before she attends to me.

"I am sure you did not come here today because you want to visit us or check on us, so go straight to the point" She is right.

"I am sorry about yesterday, please forgive me" I kneel in front of her and put my head on her lap.

"I am not the one you suppose to apologize to" I lift my head up from her lap and look at her "You will find Laura, apologize to her and let her continue her work" No way.

"It is not possible mom" I rub my hand through my hair.

"Then it is not possible also for me to forgive you, then don't come here if you did not do what I said" She stands up and went to the kitchen to continue what she is doing.

My dad told me that is better I do what she said because I know how stubborn my mom can be sometimes.
