Miracle's Point of View
"I can't believe I let you talk me into this," I said as we waited for Whitney to pick us up. After saying goodnight to our parents and making sure they were in bed, Sof and I snuck out through my balcony. There were no steps leading down to the bottom floor, so we jumped into the tree that was close to my balcony. It wasn't hard because we used to climb that tree all the time when we were little. After sneaking out through the balcony in my room, Sof and I quickly made it to the fence where the hole was. Once we made it through there, we walked down the street away from the house.
"Come on, don't be upset with me, Miracle. We are going to have so much fun," Sof said
"I hope so. Where is Whitney anyway? She is taking a long time," I said. I wrapped my arms around myself and shivered. It was a cold night, and I wished I would have brought my coat.
"She said she was close," Sof said. After a few minutes, Whitney arrived.
"Hey, sorry it took me a while to get here," Whitney said.
"That's fine," Sof said as she got in the passenger seat, and I got in the back seat.
"Hey, Miracle. I am shocked your sister really got you to come. I didn't think you would sneak out," Whitney said
"Well, I did," I replied
" I thought Sof and I were going to have to go without you," Whitney said
"Please, I wouldn't have come if Miracle didn't come with me," Sof said
Whitney started driving, and about fifteen minutes later, we pulled up to Claire's house. Claire was the person throwing the party. She was a cheerleader, just like Sof and Whitney were. Sof wanted me to try out for cheerleading, but I wanted to be in choir and dance class, which I loved.
Whitney parked the car, and we all got out. "Let's go, girls," Whitney said, and we headed into the house.
"Hey, Whitney, Sof, and Miracle," Claire said as we walked into the kitchen.
"Hey," Sof and I said at the same time.
"Are your brothers coming too?" Claire asked.
"No, they didn't feel like coming," Sof said, and I could see the disappointment in Claire's eyes. All the females from our school wanted to be with Charles and Nate. They were very handsome and tall. They looked a lot alike except for their height and hair. Charles was taller than Nate, and his hair was shorter.
Sof and I didn't look that much alike. She was 5 ft 7, and I was only 5 ft 3. I had black hair that reached my waist. Sof had black hair as well, but hers was shorter. We all had our daddy's ocean blue eyes.
"Would you like a beer?" Claire asked.
"Sure," Whitney and Sof asked, causing me to look at her. Claire gave them a beer and looked at me.
"Would you like one Miracle?" Claire asked
"No, I am good," I replied.
"Do you think it is a good idea for you to drink that?" I asked
"Everything will be fine, Miracle. It is just one beer," Sof said as she took a sip of it.
One Hour Later
I held onto Sof's hair as she threw up in the toilet over and over again. One beer turned into three, and now Sof was throwing up in the toilet. I told her not to drink anymore or she would get drunk, but she didn't listen to me. She kept telling me she felt fine.
"We need to go home. Are you done throwing up?" I asked
"I think so," Sof said. I helped her get up, and we left the bathroom to find Whitney. I found her speaking to some of the basketball players.
"Whitney, we need to leave. Sof isn't feeling good," I said
"I am not ready to go yet. Just give me another hour," Whitney said, causing me to frown. Some friend she was. I decided to pull out my cell and call an Uber.
"You can let us out here, thank you," I said to the Uber driver, who looked to be in his forties.
"Are you sure? I can take you to your house," He asked.
"NO, this is fine," I said
"Your parents don't know you went to a party, huh? I remember those days," He replied with a laugh.
"Come on, Sof," I said. It was hard walking Sof back to the house in the state she was in, but somehow I did it. I knew getting her up the tree would be impossible, so we went through the back door. I sighed in relief when we made it up the stairs without our parents waking up, but that didn't last long.
"As soon as I opened my door, Sof and I froze in our spot when we saw our parents sitting on my bed with frowns on their faces.
