Miracle's Point of View "So, everyone is going to my house after practice. Are you coming, Sof?" Whitney asked. The beginning of the day went by quickly, and now we were in lunch. "I wish I could, but I am grounded, remember?" Sof said "Oh, yeah. I still can't believe your parents would ground you for going to a party. The both of you are seventeen years old," Sue, one of the cheerleaders, said "Me either. It's just not fair. They treat Miracle and me like we are little kids," Sof said "Well, there is some good news. I am so happy you decided to become a cheerleader, Miracle. We have been wanting you to join the team since freshman year, but you never would," Sue said "I haven't made the team yet, Sue. I am just going to try out," I said "Oh, please. You are the best dancer in the school. You are definitely going to make the team," Sue said "Yeah, that is true. No one can dance like my sister," Sof said with a smile on her face "Well, thank you," I said "Hey, she hasn't even tried out yet, and you are already saying she is the best," Whitney said. I could tell she was jealous that everyone agreed with Sue. "That is because it is true, and you know it. There is no reason for you to be jealous," Sue said "I am not jealous," Whitney said "Anyway, did you guys see the new guy? He is so sexy," Molly asked. "Yeah, he is so hot. I wouldn't mind having a night with him. I am sure he would make me c*m over and over again," Whitney said. I didn't like the way she was talking about Ryan. Just thinking about her or anyone else being with him made me upset. "Too much information," Sof said. When lunch was finished, Keisha, Whitney, Sof, and I headed to PE while everyone else went to their classes. This was the only class Sof, and I had with our brothers. After changing into our gym uniforms, we left the girls locker room. I was shocked when I saw Charles and Nate sitting on the bleachers talking to Ryan. When we got closer to where they were sitting Charles spoke. "Hey, these are our sister Sof and Miracle," Charles said as he pointed at Sof and then at me. "I believe we have first period together. It is nice to meet the both of you. I am Ryan," Ryan said "Hello," I said "Hey," Sof said "Ryan is planning on joining the basketball team. He was really good at his old school," Nate said "Okay everyone. We are going to go outside and run laps," The PE teacher said and we all got up and left. "I hate running," Keisha whined as we walked outside. She wasn't the most athletic person. As soon as we got outside the teacher said the females would go first. Even though I had asthma I was a fast runner. The coach asked me numerous times if I wanted to join the track team but my parents wouldn't let me because they were worried I was going to have an asthma attack if I ran too fast. I had to beg them to let me join the dance team because thought that could trigger an attack. "Great job Sof and Miracle," The PE teacher said. Sof was also a great runner. I didn't beat her by much. "I don't know how you beat me everytime when you are shorter than me," Sof said between breaths "Just because I am short doesn't mean I am not fast," I replied. "Okay, you girls did a good job. Now it is time for the boys," The teacher said and all the guys went to the track. I didn't miss the way Ryan looked at me for a moment as he walked to the track. It caused me to feel butterflies in my stomach. It scared me because I had never felt anything like that before. The teacher blew the whistle and the guys started to run. Charles was in the front with Nate and Ryan not far behind him. In the end Charles won while Nate was second with Ryan not that fair behind. "I am going to talk to Ryan," Whitney said "You are?" Sof said "Yep," Whitney said and she walked over to where Ryan was talking to my brothers. I watched as she started flirting with him. It didn;t seem like he was very interested in her which made me feel better. After a moment Whitney acme back with a frown on her face. "What happened?" Sof asked "I asked if he wanted to go out with me but he said he wasn't interested," Whitney said. It took a lot for me to hold back my smile. I was happy he rejected her. "I am sorry, Whitney," Sof said "Yeah, whatever. It's his loss," Whitneys said. The teacher let us hang out outside until we had to head back inside to change out of our uniforms. While we were walking back into the school I tripped and fell on the ground. "Are you okay?" Ryan asked as he walked over to me and held his hand out for me to take. I took it without hesitation and he helped me get up. "I am fine. I just," I stared to say but stopped when I felt sparks go through my body. I looked him in the eye and knew he must have felt it too by the surprised expression on his face. I don't know why but I couldn't' help but call him the name I used to when I was three years old. "Ry Ry," I whispered. His eyes didn't leave mine. It was like we were in a trance. At that moment I felt like no one else existed but Ryan and me. "Are you okay, sis," Charles asked breaking Ryan and me out of our trance. Ryan let my hand go which upset me a little. "I am fine. I just tripped and fell," I said "You need to be more careful. Come on. Let's get to the locker rooms," Charles said as he walked with me to the locker room. Once I was in the locker room I changed into my clothes. I couldn't stop thinking about the sparks that I felt when Ryan touched my hand. They were pleasurable sparks that I wanted to feel again and again. I remembered feeling that when we were little. I also thought about what my parents told me about soulmates and how when you meet your soulmate you will know. That was when realization hit me. Ryan had to be my soulmate. I walked over to where Sof was standing. I was happy she was alone I was so excited. "Sof, I need to tell you something," I said happily "What is it?" Sof asked "You know how mama and daddy said we would know when we meet our soulmate?" I asked "Yeah," Sof asked "I met mine," I replied and she looked at me with a shocked expression "What? Who is it?" Sof asked "It's Ryan," I said "Are you sure?" Sof asked "Yeah, I am positive. I think I have known for along time," I said "But he just got here today," Sof said confused "You remember the boy that saved me when we was three from being kidnapped?" I asked "Yeah," Sof said "Ryan is the boy," I said and Sof was silent for a moment. I told her how he was the boy I used to talk about all of the time. The one I used to call Ry Ry. "I can't believe I didn't see it before. He is the boy you called Ry Ry. The one you kept talking about. You were so sad when he moved away. Do you ting he feels the bond "I am sure he felt the sparks when he helped me up after I fell. I don't think he knows what it means though," I said "I am so happy for you, Miracle," Sof said. I was so happy. I had found my soulmate. We walked out of the locker room and my smiled quickly turned to a frown when I saw Ryan sitting on the bleachers kissing Whitney.
