**Beep, Beep, Beep** I freaking hear you alarm. I got up and turned my alarm off, today is the first day of school and I am not really looking forward to it. I got dressed and then went into the kitchen to make myself some grits and toast with butter. Once I ate I went and brushed my teeth and then got my bag ready. I told my dad bye and headed to the bus stop which happens to be the stop sign where I can see Brooks's house from. While I was standing there I saw him walk outside with his younger brother. I smiled when he waved at me and I waved back. As he was turning to go back inside he blew me a kiss and it made my morning. When the bus pulled up I got on and found a seat. I took out my schedule and looked over what my first 2 classes were. When we pulled up to the school I followed everyone into the gym and waited until they released us to our classes. I had to ask a teacher where my first class was. I was right about this place. All the kids seem stuck up and no one has even said hi to me. I decided to just stay to myself and keep quiet. Once first period was over I looked at the room numbers above the doors and couldn't find my second period. A girl walked up to me and asked if I needed help and I said yes. She said her name was Kinzlee. I introduced myself and she asked what room number I needed to find. I gave her my schedule. "Oh, you must be new?" she said. I said I was. She said she had a class close to mine and could walk me there. She looked over the rest of my schedule and said most of her classes were around mine so she would help me find them. I asked if she was a junior and she said she was a senior. I told her I was supposed to be but was held back in middle school. She asked where I moved from and I told her. She told me she was a military brat and she moved here when she was in 7th grade so she knew how hard it was to be the new kid. When I got to my class she told me she would meet me here when the bell rang. When class was over I met up with Kinzlee and she helped me get around the rest of the day. After school, I was sitting on the bus when Brooks's little brother came up to me. "You like my brother, don't you?" "No. Not like that, I like him as a friend." I said and he laughed. "You like him, like him. You blush and giggle a lot when you are around him." I covered my face. "Is it that obvious?" He nodded his head. "You know how old he is right?" He asked. "Yes, I do know and I also know nothing will ever come from it because of me being 17." He turned around and went back to his seat. When I got off the bus, I headed straight home and threw my bookbag on my floor, and plopped down on my bed. How do I hide the fact I like him so no one knows? I thought I was doing good but obviously not if his little brother can tell I like him. I thought maybe if I changed up my walking route it would be less obvious since I won't be around him as much. I guess my first day wore me out because I fell asleep. I woke up to my dad knocking on my door telling me it was time for dinner. After I ate I went and sat out back on the patio and started writing in my journal about my first day. I was mid-way through my day when I heard a whistle. I knew it was Brooks so I closed my journal and walked out to the end of my yard where it met his backyard and said hey. He walked down the yard to me and asked how my day went and I told him it was ok just confusing trying to remember where all my classes were but I made a friend and they showed me to all my classes. When I said that he tensed up and looked at me and asked what friend. I told him a girl named Kinzlee. He relaxed and I asked why he wanted to know. He told me he was just curious and he looked down. I got the feeling if it would have been a guy he wouldn't have liked it. I smirked. "Did the jealousy monster just try to surface?" He looked up at me. "What? No. I am not jealous. I was just asking because you said you didn't have any friends here." I laughed. "I didn't have any other than you until today. She approached me and asked if I needed help finding my classes and I did need help." I told him he didn't have to be jealous because not one guy showed me any attention and that I was 100 percent sure I wouldn't get attention at all from any of the guys because that was how it has been since I was in middle school. He asked me why guys didn't pay me any attention. "I don't know maybe because of how I dress and because I am more tomboyish than a girly girl. A lot of guys can't stand that I can spit farther than them." Brooks smirked. "Oh, so you spit?" I looked at him and was confused and he started laughing, I then got what he meant. "You are such a damn perv." We talked for a few more minutes before I had to go in and get ready for bed. As I was getting ready to go in Brooks asked me to lean forward and he kissed me. "Sweet dreams cutie." I went and grabbed my journal off the patio table and went to my room. I got ready for bed and went to sleep.
