The first rays of sunlight lit up her room. The dawn chorus of melodic birdsong drifted in. From the carousel of random ideas comes some order - a subtle awareness of who she was under the flow of thoughts with their loose connections to her waking life. Her eyelids flicker open to her lit room. Flicker of lights from the outside world filter through the curtains. For a moment, Regina couldn't remember where she was. It was as though, she had just waken up from a dream. Her chest tightened, and the heaviness she had felt in her sleep came back with a force. The memories came rushing back.
