“There’s been a new development, Tristan,” Klaus began as he made his way into my office.
I didn’t turn from my spot as I heard his voice behind me. He had been working on an assignment I gave him for the past year and he was damn good at his job, I have to admit.
I hated to be bothered by anything he would have to say right now, but I knew that it couldn’t be ignored. The only reason Klaus would come searching for me was because it required my attention.
I had been hearing filters about Anna being sighted, but I paid no heed to it. It wouldn’t be the first time someone tried to play me for a fool to get the reward for finding her.
