“I can’t lose her, Klaus. I gave her so much, and it turned out that she didn’t want me in the end, and you want me to accept things the way they turned out? How then do I have answers to the questions that continue to plague me? It’s quite embarrassing for me because it feels like I failed.” I questioned, clenching and unclenching my fists.
“The Tristan I knew back then wouldn’t care about other people’s opinion, he never did. All he wanted to do was the right thing for his sake and most importantly, for the betterment of himself, but now…”
“Things change, I have changed.” I interrupted him.
Klaus had never been in love, so I didn’t expect him to understand how I felt and why I needed to do this. I was seeking closure and this was the only way I was going to get it.
