The Plan

762 Words
I turned to look at the clock, and it was past time for school. I thought about skipping school, but if I did I would give him another reason to scold me and I couldn’t afford that now. If he wants me to get a wife, then I will. All I needed was to find someone that was going to fit the category that he wanted. Alphas often mated with Omegas because they had more chances of giving birth to Alphas. I needed to find an Omega that would be quick to accept my marriage proposal. Maybe I should lie to her. I couldn’t afford to mess the plan up, and I needed her to agree to get married to me in two weeks. Maybe I should tell her I was her mate, and love bomb her with everything she was going to need. After all of this is over, then I am going to tell her the truth and we will go our separate ways. Maybe after I am alpha and I have the power in the pack, I will put more effort into finding Anna. The thought of my plan alone put me in a good mood, so I stood up and headed to the bathroom. I did my morning routine, got dressed, and headed downstairs. My mother was seated on her chair while she knitted. “Good morning, mum.” I kissed her on the cheek. “Good morning, Tristan. Have a great day at school.” She smiled. I smiled back, “Thank you, mum.” I headed out after that and got into my car, then sprinted down to school because I didn't want to be too late. When I got to school, I found a crowd of people in the hallways. It was pretty normal for things like this to happen because the school was filled with obnoxious bullies who didn't have anything better to do with their lives but put people down. The queen of them was Emma, the daughter of my father’s beta. I have always hated her, which made me the only person in the pack that she truly feared. Ever since we were children, she steered clear of me because she knew I didn't like her and I was not afraid of showing that to her. At some point, she started to like me but I rejected her, and she became even meaner to the people around her. She tried to tell my father, but even he wouldn’t force me to court her because then, Anna was still here and we were deeply in love. My father has a soft spot for Emma, which I assumed was because the both of them have something in common. They were both bullies. When I got into the crowd, I saw the poor girl that they were bullying and she was shirtless. I helped her up and handed over her shirt to her, and it was then I had the idea. I felt bad lying to someone like her, because she seemed nice and sweet. But she was a good option. I had saved her from the biggest bully of the school, then perhaps she was going to feel indebted to me. If I told her that I was her mate and treated her well, then she was going to let me in and my plan was going to go well. I took her down to the palace and got into the first room that I saw, which wasn’t deep into my home because I didn't want my mother to see her. I knew that she was going to disapprove of this, but there was nothing I could do about it. It was either that or I was not going to see her ever again. I was selfish, but it was for the right reasons. I needed my inheritance too but most importantly, my family. The girl’s name was Tessa. When I told her about my intentions, she looked surprised but she was pleased. It itched me to tell her that this was not real. That I was not her mate, but I didn't want to destroy the plan because of my moral compass. I needed to put myself first this one time. I planned to move her to the palace where my father was going to be seeing her. I only hoped that he was going to approve of her because if he didn't, I didn't know if I could go through the whole process of lying to someone because of my personal gain.
